It's really hard to give a defenative answer to this question. It depends on the grade of marijuana used and the rate of absorbation for that person. But personally if my recepie calls for say 1/4 cup of butter I use about a 1/8 to 1/4 ounce 3.5-7 grams of ground up primo to make my butter or oil and then it's a matter of dosing. If I'm making muffins, 1 muffin is enough to make me not want to move off the couch. I also cook my edables and make my oil and butter at temps under 260 degrees to keep the thc from degrading. I bake all my edables at 250 which means I have to adjust the baking time. And you make butter rom vaped material? Then whats left? you've already vaped off all the good stuff..I guarantee that if you have high quality and you use proper cooking methode, one batch should nicely floor 6 people...lol Just remember when you comsume it, it doesn't get absorbed untill the food reaches the small intestines which can take from 1/2 hour to severa hours to reach full affect.

theres always a bit of thc left in my vaped weed.. and i use about a quarter pound per stick of butter so its a pretty good ratio. the butter is fairly decent for being made from vaped weed. im gonna try the good stuff one of these times.. but i know i can get stoned wayyy more times from smoking a quarter ounce rather than baking it... 2 hits and im buzzed,, cant eat that same amount of bud and get stoned...

Always takes a lot to make good medibles vrs smoking it. But the pro to that is the high is much different and much longer which is what most of us are looking for.

I make medibles out of vaped stuff too and that stuff is a super heavy body high aint it? Good for night time for me but during the day I want something more uplifting. If two hits is getting you buzzed the 8th of something good would definitely make a few doses for you but nowhere near the ammount you would get from just smoking it.

I wish my tolerence was that low I eat it now because its the only way I have now to have fun with it. Smoking it ive got to go through so much or vaping it that its not even worth it.

I've made edibles using premium flowers, hash, and shake/trim from harvests. If you have access to trim or can purchase more amounts of a mid-grade flower you can save some $ and still get enough material to make them potent. The previous posts were correct about tolerance and absorption rates, it varies per person. I tend to save the really premium flowers to smoke and use the mids and trim (from which I get significantly more material at a lower cost) to make the oil/butter for my recipes.
