Since my 2nd grow is nearing the end, I started a few more seeds (3 trustfall seeds and a clone).

I didn’t expect the clone to take, but she did and she’s getting pretty big.

I also didn’t plan on planting 3 trustfall seeds, but I knocked a solo cup over and lost the seed (or so I thought), so I sowed a third and to my surprise, the missing one sprouted, just near the edge of the cup, and the third seed already germinated by the next morning.

So, as of right now, I have 4 plants starting their veg cycle, and a 2x4’ tent to grow them in.

I *may* have a home for the clone, but this person is kind of flakey, so I’ll likely end up keeping it.

That said, how should I fill up this tent? 5 gallon pots? That seems very crowded with 4 plants. 3 gallon pots for all of them?

What do you think?

For reference: all photoperiod indica/indica dom.

Ideally I’d like to use a self watering setup similar to my 4x4 as the results from that are amazing so far. 2-3 plants in the tent and I could have individual buckets for, 4 I would likely need to share buckets (2 plants per bucket).

Also aiming for max qty.

just throw ya about 10 inches of dirt in the bottom of your tent and toss those seeds in there why waste money on pots

Yeah, I’ve seen some of these products. I built my watering system for $30 and it feeds 5 plants with individual reservoirs:

Haven’t top watered in 6-7 weeks now :)

I have enough to do my small tent, but the number of plants determines the configuration.

Do you plan on repotting to 5 gallon pots or no? I’m leaning on using 3 gallon bags this time around for all 4, but it’ll be a tight fit I think.

With a 2x4 tent i would grow 10(5x2) plants in SOG with 1,6 gal pots

That's what the spacing between plant and pots look like in my 2x3 tent (8 plants 4x2)

Short Veg, no topping, no lst or whatsoever just removing a few secondary branches and bud site that don't make it to canopy level.

Have you done a grow like this before? What was your yield like? I think the shortest veg I would/could do is 4-5 weeks.

That's definitely a reasonable approach, and fits in with what I did last time in my 2x4. Is there any pro's/con's with going SOG vs SCROG?

At worst, I could just buy a 3rd light and set 2 in each of my tents, though I'd prefer to not do that if possible haha.

Yeah i m growing like this since a few years, was using a HPS 250 W before with wich i was vegging for 2-4 weeks most of the time 3 and i switched to LED recently veg is a little longer with led: 3-5weeks most of the time 4

i try to switch my plant to flowering when they reach 20-30cm and they reach 60cm 1m20 in the end depending strains / phenotypes

can't really tell about yield aside it allow me to smoke 3-5 joints a days without running out between each harvest.

that's what the plants could look like in the end, here an exemple of a short and a taller strain.

Mostly focusing on the main colas and few secondary branches that make it to canopy level.

I have a plant limit for legal grows where I am, so SOG is out of the question. SCROG just optimizes the amount of "tops" you have per square foot 100% recommend

I voted for 5-gallon pots. I have three plants in my 2x4 tent, and it's crowded. I'm using two 7-gallon pots and one 5-gallon pot. I wasn't planning to grow three. The one in the 5-gallon pot was unexpected.

3 gallon for all 4...I like the 3 gal pots, easier to water consistently for weekly feeding it takes mine 3-4 days to dry so once a week they get water and once a week feed....5 gal takes me 4-5 days to dry, I only get 1 feed every 10 days...

3 gal get 1 gal of water or feed at a time 5 gal takes 1-3/4 gal ...

3 gal is just easier for me....or I have to do math.
