Okay, so I know I'll probably get allot of negative feedback but this is what I want to do. I've grown mids a few times and actually have some flowering now. I also have a nice healthy plant from a seed of some of the dankest diesel I've ever smoked. It hasnt shown any sacks or hairs yet but the way its growing makes me think its a male. It gave me 5 sets of 3 bladed leaves before it produced a 5 bladed one and it is quite stretched even for an outdoors plant. Anyways if it is a male Id like to be able to cross it with a mids plant of mine to hopefully get some even better mids or something. Problem is I've read so many different things online and I dont want to ruin a plant and/or waste the pollen. Any tips or advice? Is there a how to guide for dummies? I understand collecting the pollen but some sites Ive read you put the bag of pollen over a branch of bud seal it, shake it, but some sites say you leave the bag for a couple days and some say a couple hours. I would think if you left a bag over any part of a plant that long itd just wilt and die because Ive had that happen before trying to force flower plants. Please Help, Thank You!

I shook the pollen on a tablet screen

collected with razor blade

smeared razor blade on bud

put bag over bud for one day

and I got many seeds in that bud, but also a few in other places. I was not careful enough, I'm thinking my breath scattered some pollen

I've always just collected the pollen into a little vial, dipped a q-tip in the vial then gently applied to various buds. Pollen is gonna pollinate regardless if it has contact for 1 second or a couple days. Once applied, that pistil is fertilized as long as it is viable pollen. The reason for the pollen in a bag is the hope to reduce cross pollination of other branches and also ensures you produce as many seeds as possible on that particular branch.

Oh ohkay. Thanks guys, and hey Tobh do you wet the q tip or anything? Cross conatminating other braches doesnt bother me and Id rather not use a bag anyways because like I had mentioned I've had bad experiences doing that kind of shit. Thanks allot though man that really helps allot.

No absolutely not. Water destroys pollen, renders it useless. That's why it's such a bitch to store for a long time, keeping moisture out from destroying it is very, very difficult.

Just flower the 2 plants side by side. Once the male blows his load, pull him out and finish growing out the female.
You'll have plenty of seeds.

Peace
