Lets say I want to top a plant. But I'm too lazy to go to the grow store and get repair sap. Is there anything household I could use to paste over the cut?

I leave my plants alone after topping. I will feed them extra silica and algae to help with the stress.

I don't do anything specific either.
The plant will close the wound.

Never used anything. Top and they bleed for a bit, seal up and move on. Since I've started using HLG lights I have no stress visible to my eyes from transplanting, topping or heavy defoliation or lolli popping. Use silica (DE) in my soil and a liquid silica when water seedlings and early veg for a few weeks and forget about it.

One time I seen black ants drill holes and make a whole network out of a plant. Going in at the bottom and coming out 20 different places up top. You can never be too careful.

Also I done seen corn worms make their home right in the hollow of the cut before it heals and wilt the entire top in a day or 2.

I seen some things.

If your indoors and got to worry about ants and corn worms you got bigger problems, lol.

Spraying fulvic acid and Kelp at a 5:2 ratio the day before topping or defoliation helps tremendously with any stress. Triacontanol also helps with stress. Especially at transplant.

Hope this helps.

Whoever thought up "repair sap" is a scam artist.

Repair sap is awesome... If you're growing bonsai trees. You use it to make artistic effects w/o the usual 'knuckle' from healing itself. For cannabis, no reason to use.
