So I am a casual grower and I currently have a 4x4x7 tent. I am thinking about turning a room in my basement in a grow room to give me more space. The space will be approximately 4x10x8. A small portion of the space, approx 4x2x8 space will be my veg room separate from my flower room.
I currently have one 600w HPS and four 400w led lights. I plan on putting one led light in my veg area and the rest in my flower area. Would this be enough light for my coverage area?
hi big cube. Thanks for your reply. My LEDS are vipaspectra lights.
I’ve been doing some research and realized I only need light coverage for my canopy which will be approx 6x6. I attribute that to sleep deprivation today.

You may still be alright. I couldn't find any 400w vipaspectra lights. But I did find a 450w..
Bad news is, it looks like your LEDs are rated on the bogus (replaces x) wattage. The 450w only draws 200w. Meaning your 400w most likely draws less than 200w.
In a 6x6 after using your 600w HPS you will need about 900 to 1000w of led to cover the rest. Being as your are likely less than 200w each, you will be 300 to 500w short. Depending on the actual draw of your LEDs.
