What you do in the tent will end up affecting the room. If you use a carbon filter it takes air out but new air has to go in and it will from the area around the tent. If the air going out is humidified it goes where ? Back into the room with higher humidity !!!

Try one for the tent first. If humidity is still too low in the room it's better for you to have higher humidity too. Add a bigger humidifier for you and the plants then.

I recommend putting one in your tent. That's where I have mine.

Plants mostly benefit from additional humidity when they're young. They'll provide plenty of humidity by transpiration when they're older and larger. By then, what's comfortable for you is also about right for them, as well.

Do you have a tent environment controller? It's hard to maintain a set humidity level with only a humidifier, so getting one that works with a controller is a wise choice. I don't use Vivosun equipment, but if I recall correctly, they sell both humidifiers and controllers, so maybe you could buy from them to assure compatibility.

I would first get a hygrometer and check the average temp and humidity for a 3 day period.
During different parts of the grow cannabis will need between 65 to 85 temp and 80-45% RH.
Thee lights in the tent will help with temp but not during seedling stage. Under 75 and cannabis laggs.
During varied stages I run dehumidifiers in the lung room and in the secondary room. It is easier to control humidity in the tent if you can position your lung room about 5-7% under tent needs and let the tend humidifier pull it up and keep it adjusted.
Sometimes the dehumidifiers are set at 65 and sometimes at 40%

Look into the ac infinity humidifier and controller, automation & scheduling is paramount. In veg you will have it easy but in flower is where you will have issues trying to flower that plant. Don’t mix and match gear if they not comparable you will have issues. Tent is fine.
Ac infinity:
Humidifier Heater and exhaust fan with filter and clip fans, heater because it’s winter and 80F is the go to.

Get those items and chime back once you have them.
Consider venting exhaust thru window port, get the vivosun vents for your window and insure you have CIRC rotating fan for your lung room to keep RH% levels down while exhaust is sucking room air in and sending it out the window vent.

If you already have controller then it’s a no brainer. AC infinity all the way …match humidifier to tent size

ACI cloud forge. I have one and properly adjusted I get a vdp wave of .05
This means the humidity is controlled to within 1% up and down from settings.
I also have a ho9 from Vivosun for my smaller tent and for drying weed.

I have AC Infinity Cloudforge T3 humidifiers in two of my tents. They work well, are easy to fill and have a hose attachment that enables them to be outside the tent. I also have some Levoit humidifiers that run from control plugs. They work well and cost about half as much as the Cloudforge humidifiers.

Do you mean it's 2 feet square at the floor and 4 feet tall?

Sorry 2x4x6. I went taller so the fan carbon filter and light had room at top with out taking away grow room.

Carbon filter and duct fan will work when mounted on top and will not restrict grow hight.
this is my 31x31 x63 tent.

I use an Inkbird Humity controller

Digital Humidity Controller IHC-200 Series

INKBIRD IHC-200 series is an easy-to-use, safe and reliable digital humidity controller. The humidification and dehumidification equipment is controlled through dual relays and has an alarm function. This controller also supports humidity calibration and time-delay protection.
www.inkbird.com
and two small humidifiers off a "t".

Amazon.com: raydrop Cool Mist 2.2L Humidifiers for Bedroom, 28dB Whisper-Quiet Ultrasonic Humidifier, Easy to Clean Home Humidifier, Auto Shut-Off, 30H Work Time, Night Light (Blue) : Home & Kitchen

The controller itself I mount outside of tent and the humidifiers inside of tent (I have a 4x4 tent).
A word of caution... be absolutly sure to turn off the leds inside the humidifiers and tape off the one that shows the power is on with black tape as well.

Just a suggestion Jim... you appear to have enough room inside your tent to mount filter and fan inside and to the side of your lights. This way any dust etc.. will first get caught in the cloth slieve then the carbon filter and help keep it out of the inline fan. You of course would need the fan to draw from the filter instead of blow into it.

But whatever makes you happy.

That's a good size. I have one that's the same size. I've done the same thing @JIMKSI64 has done so the fan and filter can be outside the tent. I usually grow two large plants in it with a light for each plant.
