Hi all
First timer here
I have set up a grow room in the attic, very well insulated, air intake + exhaust, 1030W LED, heater, dehumidifier, 2 inkbirds to control heat and humidity, carbon filter and I have 2 humidifiers. I have done a couple of dry runs & have my heat under control. I am aiming for 60% humidity which I hit but my humidifiers run out of water after about 19 hours and switch off. I am aiming for at least a 24 hour window so I can refill once a day as I am busy with work, kids etc. I will check on them once daily which is when I will do the re filling. I think later in veg this won't be a problem as I will be running an NFT system. Is there an easy way to raise humidity? I have 3 bowls of water in the room as well. Or do I need to buy a more powerful humidifiers? I currently have 2 x 10 L Sonic Air.
Thanks
Treebeard

Why not rig up an external reservoir for your current humidifiers. Get a water jug on a stool and run tubes down to your humidifiers' tanks. Increased capacity with minor modifications.

As mentioned, DIY and extend the tank capacity. Or add another humdifier.

What size tank do you have now?

Your plants will make humidity, bigger they are more humidity they make. Between my plants transpiring and my wet pots, it maintains a perfect humidity in my flower room. I don’t care about the humidity in my veg room.

I am happy to hear that you were able to sort out your humidity issues. Why don't you share your solution with us. Most of us come here seeking answers to the same questions. We are all not on the "Panel of Experts" waiting to assist the desperate. Most of us are the desperate. Lol! It's usually best for this process to be two-way. This way everyone learns from everyone else's experiences.

Dry air stimulates resin production, I aim for lowest I can get.

I believe you mentioned you did a dry run and you are hitting 60 percent and you run out of water after 19 hours. I am assuming you are running the lights on the whole time. I believe with the plants in place and the NFT system filled you will not run out of water assuming the lights in veg will be on 18 hours. As the plants mature they will be the source of humidity and you will need to dehumidify the room. If you still have problems with not enough humidity I would be OK with it going down towards the end of the day light for the time being because as mentioned the plants put off a lot of humidity as they mature.

That’s how I ran my nft. Saves a lot of work, but you really need to watch EC and PH in the reservoir when doing that. An auto doser really helps with all that.

I second "add another humidifier, That will make it more humid faster, reduce the work on the other 2 and add to your reserve and last longer.
