I've mistakenly ordered Fox Farms Grow Big HYDROPONIC and I am growing in soil. Has anyone used this in soil? I'm assuming you can as it seems weaker than the soil one from what I can tell(only on my 2nd grow and just now got the "trio"). Just wondering if anyone has made the same mistake and went ahead and used it. The K is higher in the hydro solution.

So you bought a nutrient with a LOT of EDTAs. And it’s also a salt base for a lot of compounds needed in the nute ingredients. Long story short research about edtas u wanna add additional bacteria and microbes. Also the salt will dry out your enzymes and stuff makes sure to keep Ec under 2.0

Phosphorus deficiency?

Just to give you an idea this is Grow Big Hydro by itself @ 10ml per gal Works out to 292 ppm plus starting water. That is a little more where you want to be @ 7-10ml per gal depending on starting water. 10ml being RO water. Way better ratio. Reg Grow Big IMO is trash unless using amended...

Refer to that.

Reg grow big is trash. Has some weird ratio's for some reason. Might be them expecting you to use their soils IDK? The grow big hydro is waaaaaaay better then the normal grow big. You can pretty much use that from start to finish. In soil you would need an additional P source.

I agree mostly but dont think there would be a need for more phosphorous. Not much is needed.

The fox farm soil trio is the only nute system i tried that i never got to work well. And with ocean forest.

From what I gather edta is good/decent for plants to move the metals around but possibly bad for the environment? Is the Reg grow big using a lot of EDTA?

They both use it. Pretty much the same amount. Fox farm has some kind of trace mixture. Seems to be the same across the board.

Ok, thanks for the link and the info, I see you were talking about 7-10ml per gallon, is that what you would recommend I use?( I havent used anything but some natures care soil, and big bloom up to this point around 3 weeks from popping out of the ground) Should I start low since the plant is still small and young? My last and first grow I got as a clone that was already about a month or more old, so the only nutrients I really used was tiger bloom and some cal mag supplement. So im still brand new with adding nutrients other than during flower.

Honestly man I the wrong dude to ask about a suggestion like that. I'm a soil-less grower with 0 amendments in the mediums. Strait nutes all the time. I feed from day 1 non stop. I will say tho I have used grow big hydro in soil with zero issues if I member right. Long time ago.
