Just so everyone knows, Dirty is not meant for coco. Meant for a Peat mix like sunshine #4

Tupur grown. Which is coco by the way not soil.
Try bumping up to 6 grams per gallon.
I don't ph at all.

So if your using RO water do get a ph between 5.8-6.3?

Some people do. I didn't notice any deficiencies at all from not checking my ph.
Maybe I'll do a side by side and see if I can find any differences.
I'm recommending you to ph your reservoir as you were.

Are you having any issues running the Dirty formula with Coco?

Here is a conversation I had with someone at Hydroponic Research.

Me:
Which base formula has the most calcium? This guy is running RO in coco and had issues with a mag deficiency last round.

HR: Did he start with 100 ppm before adding nutrients?

Me:
Don't think so. I told him to add back tap water but he's pretty adamant on sticking with the RO water
He said he used the Dirty last time in coco and had the problem. Should he get the RO formula when growing in Coco and have him start at 100 ppm starting water?

HR: Hell ya you can't use dirty in Coco.
Soil and peat only!

Just thought I'd show this to help people.

Yes I'm having some calmag issues, next feeding I'm flushing with RO water and after start using HD with rest of the HR products ... Here's a before pic, after the HD formula kicks in I'll post an after pic

I just watched a few interesting YT videos from The Grow Boss. One is about using sulfur midway through flowering. So, I went to HR website to see whether +Size has sulfur, but it's no longer on their site. Anybody know anything? They now have 'Shine' as a bloom booster, but no details, which is all to typical of them. Sigh!

Shine is the same thing as +Size just relabled. They had issues with labeling or something.
Not sure who the Grow Boss person is or his videos.
Curious to why you're so adamant on adding sulfur?
I always find it best to not add a bunch of outside stuff to a nutrient line. This way you know it works and aren't questioning why you're having issues with your crop down the road.

@Smokey503ski according to that pic of the gauranteed analysis you posted in my log the HD already contains a good amount of sulfur (4.5%). By my calculation each g/gal gives you just under 12ppm sulfur, so at 6 g/gal you're looking at around 71 ppm S. Seems like a fair amount imo. (@PhatNuggz )

You are correct. It has enough. Honestly I don't think it needs to be messed with. For me it is a pretty solid line.
Although I do use osa28 and deep6 roots. Those are added seperate at different times during their grow.

@PhatNuggz here is guaranteed analysis. Hopefully this helps.

There are three forms of nitrogen in VEG+BLOOM, Nitrate, Ammoniacal, and carbon based, aka organic.

Is anyone using Push as a soil drench vs just as a foliar?

Thanks,

So while V +B would appear to be used throughout (and I have before getting +Size (replaced with Shine and Push), which has some Sulfur along with PK 11/11 WTF?

Since sulfur is a bloom booster, shouldn't V +B have a lot less sulfur for vegging, AND, how do we overcome the increased N as we ramp up ppms for flowering?

Yo @Smokey503ski when do you add the osa and the roots. Cause for now as seedling I'm giving them 1ml of deeproots per gal just to get them situated.

In spite of having been quite happy with HR products for 3+ years, their information is lacking, and it seems V + B needs to be reformulated

As I process the V + B ingredients (4.5% sulfur, which is a bloom booster), it occurs to me that they should have 2 distinct products- one for veg (lower sulfur) and one for bloom (lower N)

They have 4 formulations. They all work in the right media.... If you know how often to water

In DWC hydro the plants are watered all the time

In F & D, I flood every 30 minutes during veg, and MAY extend to every hour during early flower, maybe 3-4 hours in heavy flower

Are you having or had any issues with your grow while using V+B?
What medium and which formula?
Do you add other things at all?
