I recently added a second ViparSpectra xs-2000 to my 4’x4’ tent. I have them centered 22”over a SCROGed canopy which takes up about 80% of the net. Manual suggests 18-22” at 100% brightness but I assume that doesn’t take into consideration the overlap of two lights. Along with creating a heat problem I am wondering if I am bombarding my girls with too many photons at 22” and 100%. I am using ProCO2 buckets but only for the first 3 hours in the morning can I keep my tent sealed up with the lights on owing to heat build up. Once tent temp reaches 82° I opened it up but I’ll deal with that later, right now looking for a little advice from somebody that knows their lighting.
You could lower both lights- but only use one at a time with some overlap. light 1 turns on at 12:00 off at 2:00 on at 4:00 off at 6:00 on at 800 off at 10:00
light 2 on at 1:50 off at 4:10, on at 5:50 off at 8:10.....You can get the same DLI with less power and heat. Also kinda mimics nature like sunlight is broken up with clouds.
