I bought the Viv4 X 4 Grow Tent Kit.

I had the Inline Fan set on low but it still was sucking the Tent in. So I put 4” Dryer Hose on the other side.

Tried starting some Photos in it. I think I had my Light too close and was over watering. They didn’t do well so I gave them away.

Went to Autos, not running inline fan but have a Tower Fan blowing around and keep the Tent open a little.

All seems to be good my wife says stay with Autos but I’m wanting to go with Photos if I have everything.

Is it normal for the Inline Fan to suck all the air out of the Tent? I was told by another guy this wasn’t.

I run a passive intake on my 4x4 meaning I just draw fresh air in on the bottom with my exhaust fan I use humidity as my fan speed indicator and run a air con outside in a lung style room

I think either your fan is on too high or u don’t have proper air flow in ?

It is 6” Inline Fan. I have a smaller 4” one I can use.

That’s it if I set it up like supposed to be there is no air getting in.

I thought about putting two 4” Dryer Hoses on opposite side.

I would leave a top whole open so hot air can escape and cool air bee sucked in the bottom with inline/filter

Ok. You got wrong instructions. Lets see what you have inside and out.

Where is your exhaust located in your tent? It should be up top and exhaust out. Also are you opening the flaps on the bottom of the tent so it can draw fresh air in? Too much negative pressure can be a bad thing and cut the life of your exhaust fan down.

@SofaKingHigh is spot on with that recommendation. Also, you should switch out the 6” for the 4” fan. I’m sure it has enough cfm for a 4’x4’ tent.

Take the covers off your passive intakes . . . the square velcro piece that covers a screen on lower part of each side.

I have a 4x4 with a 6 inch inline fan. It is supposed to change the air completely every 60 seconds. It really moves the air. (Also loud, so I added a muffler to it that helps).

Your vents are closed. You should have three of them around the bottom of the tent. Completely uncover all of them so you have a good flow in from the bottom and out the top. The tent sides will still pull in a bit, not much. I find my leaf canopy temps (where my sensor is) are lower with the tent zipped up and the air coming in all from the bottom.

I just mentioned to my wife I didn’t know how I was going to get to the back plants once I put the netting up.

She says netting. You never mentioned netting. Then explained it to her.

She told me to forget Photos there is no way you with one arm and your balance being off.

So looks like Autos whether I like it or not. The way it is I can’t raise or lower the Light.

So I need a Tent and Light. Smell I’m going to have it. If others don’t like it that is their problem.

If you are concerned about the net, there are numerous other ways to control plant height, look up "LST methods". Autos can still get big. I run my exhaust vent at the top to suck out the hot air above the light with a vent open at the bottom of the tent.

Just pull the sides of the flap in a bit so you can open the bottom of the Velcro for airflow

Ok I have a light on at night in a room across from my Tent plus the Fireplace kicking on.

I’m figuring it out

Right now I have Autos in the Tent so now would be a good time to figure it out.

I'm not being funny but is it u or the missus growing?,I'd only listen to her if she knows what she's talking about.the thing with autos is if u fuck them up that's it,they only have a certain amount of time to flower so u can't afford a few weeks recovery time like u could with a photo if u done something wrong(being a noob there's a high possibility of this happening),plenty places to get photo strains, shit i'll send u some nl seeds, there impossible to fuck up,good luck whatever u do,all the best,76
