Look for cracked buckets. ull want to replace the lines, uni-seals, and air stones anyway. Buckets. Pvc. Air pump with manifold. Water pump. Complete epicenter. Lids.
imo dont ever buy anything used that is a "foundation" piece of equipment. good luck.
You will NOT need to replace the PVC, still shaking my head about that.
Hmmm...
Hoods? Used.
Ballasts? used.
RDWC? DIY... with recycled parts!
Chiller? used.
Fans? used.
Pumps? used.
Environmental controller? used.
Dehumidifier? used.
Swamp coolers? used.
Hydroton? used.
gauges and instruments? used...
the only things I bought new were nutrients, bulbs, airstones and netpots, the last only because I couldn't find any for sale used.
I saved a ton of money, I've had only one failure, and I don't think it was the fan's fault.
To each their own ttystikk. I started out getting all used equipment. ballast, hoods anything i could to save some $$$. However I strictly prefer having brand new items. personal preference. to me its not worth the savings to sacrifice optimul performance and risk a failure that can cost a harvest. call me cautious lol. trust me, you go through a couple lost harvests due to failures and you rethink things. at least i did.
