I know it is early but Can i smoke it?

Okay, so my plant is into 2 weeks in the flowering stage, buds did not really developed yet, but i want to know something. Altough it grows really nice, this plant is my first one ever and growing it was a roller coster... it looks good, and i would like to know if it will have potent buds, so, i wanted to ask, if i smoke a small bud wiill it get me high? At what point does it have thc? I know it is very early but im dying to know what i have :D so im including some pictures, i took them 3 days ago, the buds are little bit bigger now. I tought i cut off a small one and smoke it. is it a bad idea?

You won't get anything at all at this point. There aren't any trichomes yet and when there is they still won't have any thc in them for weeks. I don't know what kind of plant you have, but you generally need 8-10 weeks to harvest, some strains up to 14,but that's rare. For the average 9 week strain, you probably wouldn't get any high at all under 7 weeks, under 6 weeks I don't think you'd get a high from any plant. Also, it needs to be dried slowly for maximum effect and flavor and smoothness. Actually it needs to be cured for that, but the very least it should be 7+ weeks old and dried slowly.

Oh I should mention... You do have the potential for nice buds there, she looks good. Any buds you take now will be a waste and could potentially stress the plant and slow growth. It probably wouldn't slow it, but I don't know if it's worth the risk.

That is what i tought... im just too excited :D by the way it is photoperiodic critical kush and it is in the box with 2 gorilla glue auto.. i take it out after 12 hours of light exposeure, because i give 18 hours to the autos... problem is, it is getting too big, and if i put the lamp higher, it may effect the autos, because they are just 2.5 weeks old.... i dont know what to do if it gets any bigger...

Hmm. The good news is, the growth of the plant will come almost to a halt from this time on. If you do raise the light, the young plants will probably just stretch to get closer to the light. If your big girl stops growing taller, and your little ones stretch some, raising the light may not be that bad. It depends if you mind some stretching or not.

I know, you are right :D i started to grow cos i hade one seed from a pack of weed i bought once and tought i just put it in soil and see what happens... but i fell in love with this shit and i cant get enough :D i already gathered the equipment and started for real. I know you guys have already seen many plants, but im soooo damn proud of my girls, i just have to share :D the big one is the one i started with. Pure beauty :D

That's a great looking plant and based on the way those buds are starting to stack, you have quite a contender there. She looks primed and already on the way to producing some beautiful flowers. Be patient, don't touch, and it will pay off.

If you haven't indulged in cannabis products in a LOOOONG time, like at least a month or more, immature flowers and even leaves can get you high. I have personal experience in this from being a teenager during the 70s.

You will not be able to tell dick about whether it will be good at maturity, and you would have taken the weeks of veg + the two weeks in flower and flushed them down the toilet.

So in spite of the fact that a Canna-virgin central nervous system could feel the THC from smoking immature plant parts, I agree with all the other commenters about waiting a few weeks.

Flavor test is sort of valid at 6.5 weeks. Until then nothing. But you will smell it growing and know if its poo.

When we were teens in the 70s you were probably smoking landrace sativa which has way more thc in the leaf than modern hybrids. I can make oil out of colombian leaves and its potent. Oil from indica and hybrid leaf doesn't work for me.

Yes, that's what we smoked. In fact, when I heard rumors of "another type" of weed, I discounted it as bullshit. Turns out I was wrong.

You are in the middle of it now.
Next time;
It is not a good idea to mix photos and autos because they grow totally different from each other and you will have to adjust your tent to the autos.
If you have room, take the photo out to a new tent or place with its own light. You will be smokin the autos before the photo is ready.

By the late 70s, my homegrown was about the quality of the weed the seeds originally came from, but it was still not hybrid. This was right on the New England coast, and it wouldn't frost until late November.

I always grew out seeds from the best weed I had in the previous year. By the mid-80s, I noticed it would mature much faster and knock me on my ass much harder. And it was sticky! And smelled like a skunk!

Yes, i know, i did not want to start growing at all, i had one seed (the photo one) so i planted it just because i did not want to throw it away. When it was like 2 months old, i realized that it is super fun, and got hooked on it, so i immediatly bought a growbox and everything you need for growing and im loving it! I could not wait so i bought auto seeds and of course i did not want to get rid of the photo one too, so this is why they are together, but it wont be like that at my next growing. And here is the problem... the autos are at 18/6 light scedual, the photo is 12/12 cos it flowers already. I always take it out after 12 hours and put it into my bathroom where it gets no light at all. It works well, but the thing is, next month i will be away for a week and i dont know what to do. I will have people that can water the plants, but they cant take the photo out every day and then put it back.. so i tought i switch the lights to 12/12 and leave it in the box, i just dont know how will it affect the autos if they suddenly reciev only 12 hours of light for a week... is it bad?

Im smoking weed everyday since over 10 years ( you can say im an addict) but i stopped a few months ago, cos i felt it was already waaaay too much. I never planned stopping completly, just wanted to make a break, because i felt like i smoked so much i couldn't even get high anymore. But now that i have the plants and i see the one flowering my "addict instinct" kicked in :D but i will wait, im not tuching it untill it is ready

It would be worthless at this stage. Patience is number 1 especially if you are new.
