Issue: weak and pale looking new growth. Mag def looking old growth. Cupping under on some growth scattered all over. Some low some high. Thought cupping maybe wind burn but adjusted wind and still happening. So I have noticed signs of mag deficiency which is strange to me, as my runoff ph is sitting around 6.5. Which is a bit higher than my last grow. I'm attaching pics.
I adjust my water ph to 6.2-6.3 religiously. I usually only flush my plants if they ask me to.
I'm growing 2x blue dream photos In 5 gal fabric pots. Week 7 of veg was gonna flip at 8. But not if I can't fix my problem.
Light: 2x 300w mars hydro lights (1 e3000 1 tsl2000 side by side for bigger footprint) about 23" above canopy.
Soil: roots organics original
Nutes: gh flora trio and cal mag
Dechlorinated tap water.
I have both pots elevated. Where air can get all around.
Temps at around 75 at night, 79 to 80 during the day. Humidity stays at 50%. Lemme know if you need any other info.

How often are you watering? How much water do you give each pot?
I'm watering til about 20% runoff. Comes out to about little more than half a gal. Sometimes maybe ¾. I water usually every 72 hours. Going by my lift test.

There seems to be a big difference between HPS and LED as well. My plants always seem either too watered or too dry since I use LED. I have to be careful to find the right balance. During my last run I sometimes watered to less and the plants looked weird as hell.

Appreciate the reply! This is my 2nd grow. 1st one went so smooth, I thought it was gonna be easier than I thought. This time was the same, til about a week ago. My main concern at this point is the flip. I definitely don't wanna flip and cause myself more problems.

You're welcome Josh! Wow that is funny! Same here, 2nd grow with LED since spring. I would have to use a converter to get an idea how much you water, but my approach became to water daily but less at once. Plants are in flower (day 21) now and they need even more water compared to veg. but that is normal I guess.

They most definitely drink more in flower! Hope it's going as good as I'd hoped for your grow! I am frustrated 😭 I work so hard to get my root zone right, and the plant obviously hate me for it 🤣 I am to the point where I just wanna flip them to flower and Hope for the best. I'd rather at least try before i just scrap the grow. Either way, I'll just chalk it up as a learning experience. I'm switching soil on the next grow. My brand new bag of roots organics greenfields molded. I opened it, mold everywhere. Pi**ed me off.

Oh please hold your horses man! I've seen many bad and sick plants and yours seem almost totally fine still. So hang in there, I'm sure you will figure out to save them. They're far from lost.

I only have problems due to a pheno f-up of the breeder. 5 plants from the same variety and 4 are like short indica plants and one is doing it's "sky is the limit thing". I will have to manipulate my way out of it - as a kind member on here suggested.

But anyway, don't lose hope as I said, I'm sure the plants will be just fine in the end. Your setup is much better than mine also. Btw. which strain you got there? I have to be off for a while, but I will surely check in later.

You can also check my ladies out (if you want) in the meantime: https://www.thcfarmer.com/threads/so-here-are-my-plants.163387/

You give me hope! I'm growing 2x blue dream photos. Not sure the breeder, I'd have to check on that. I got the from North Atlantic seeds. I appreciate the positivity 😃 what can I say? I've always been impatient. I will make sure my problem is solved before I flip.

Oh nice... so you also have some sativa dominant varieties. I've heard good things about Blue Dream. I think it's popular with US dispensaries as well. I don't have access to those here in Europe (Germany). At least we can legally grow a few plants now. Nothing sucks more than to get busted shortly before harvest - or at any point actually lol.

Man, I'd love to go to Germany! I'm in SE Oklahoma. I can have 6 mature plants and 6 seedlings. But nobody should need more than that for personal use lol. I'm glad they're finally coming around! Took em long enough

Haha I would love to visit the US also. So your actually in the right climate for outdoor growing as well. When did it become legal over there in Oklahoma?

Here it's too cold for most sativa dominant strains, but some indicas can do fine here also - depending on the summer. We can only have 3 plants per person since April this year, but in my case that is also ok since this is a 2 person household. My last grow was only 4 plants and lasted over 2 months alreeady, so with 6 I should be able to go full circle from harvest to harvest. It's also easy now to get a med card here, but I prefer to grow my own - still this might come in handy if my harvest would be lost and I get bad migraines from griefing :)

Don't even get me started on griefing! It's stressful, I know. I believe it was back in late 2018 when it went legal for medical. Then in January of 2019 when we were able to get a card. Yeah, I'm in a great climate for outdoor grow. But I prefer to grow indoors for the simple fact of pests. Man oh man are the pests something else here. Ants literally rule the earth in my town. I truly believe if they were bigger, theyd enslave humans lmao! They are so bad in my yard. I've tried to battle them, but they'll just move 10 feet in the other direction instead of dying. Also grasshoppers are terrible.

Fuuq bro that makes sense. I don't have a good garden for growing... and as you mentioned the pests are a pain in the a__ here as well. Those shitty white flies, spidermites, snails, saw this huge grasshoper some weeks ago that looked as if it would eat my whole tent for a midnight snack. Heck, when you grow in the woods then you'll have to face dear and rabbit and boars (if those even eat weed idk)... so yeah I rather keep it inside. Also the weather was rough this summer, periods of heatwaves with no rain at all and then the weather changed into autumn within a couple of days...

p.s. I hope we didn't wreck your thread now... hopefully we get more input, because I'm also far from being an expert still :/

Surely not, we're stoners after all. Easily sidetracked 😆 but yes deer and rabbits definitely eat weed. I chuckled at the grasshopper comment that was funny as hell 🤣 happy growing my brotha! And best of luck may all your plants grow humongous nugs!

Bless you brother! Never hesitate to reach out. May your plants thrive and bring fat nugs as well! :)

Really hard to tell but it looks like a combo of heat or humidity with over water. LEDs really push plants differently need extra cal mag when using as well as lower RH because the room might read in perfect margins but the leaf temp will sky rocket. The humidity and leaves holds it there kinda like a blanket. so try letting her dry out, drop rh to 35 to 40,if you don't have a fan get one on low oscillate don't water anymore skip one or 2 and observe the plant will perk up n then watch the coloring asses from there. Also I disagree with run off in grow bags,it remove a lot, cause soil to go south because it removes so much the soil is unbalanced(mainly water soluble minerals n nutes) but that's the most hands off approach I can offer unless you wanna flush n start from scratch. Lmk how it goes with update plz

I appreciate your response! I will definitely give that a try. I have a humidifier so I can get it down to where I want it. Also I will stop doing runoff for a while and see how she goes. Thanks again, I will give you an update in the coming days 🤙
Edit: I do have fans.

Np, excess watering and the run off plus LEDs and rh most likely caused a imbalance that lead to a def/lockout. Once corrected n dried out she will perk up and when that happens replace the lost nutes and minerals and then her color will return. Good luck and heavy harvesting bro !!!
