So she has been growing very nicely, she is 46 days old from seed in the ground and it is currently the 12th day after switching to 12/12. Light is a sf 1000 (100 watt) that leaf is the highest part of the canopy the head it is connecting to ppfd readings are at 886 but where the leaf has discoloration the ppfd is 1026, the lower main heads are reading just over 600. I am measuring and moving the light twice a day but always checking the heads and not the leafs. Doesn't help I am color bling in red and green, makes it hard to diagnose issues. I think this is light burn but wanted a second opinion.
Soil is pro mix premium moisturizing potting soil from Walmart, feeding fox farm nutrients: big bloom, big grow, tiger bloom, cal-mag, kangaroos, microbe, boomerang, and bembe. At full dose as recommended on there feeding schedule. I have pretty much fed every watering unless it was recently transplanted and then it just got ph'ed water at 6.1. The runoff is reading 5.86 ph and 4750 ppm ( I am feeding her 1800 ish ppm). She was flushed once at end of week 4 and is due for another flush in about a week or so ( one more feeding then flush) she gets watered two gallon once ever 5-7 days or when soil is close to dry. She holds about 1 gallon and 3 quarts so each watering I am getting about a quart of runoff which is remover from the tray and disregarded.

I went a head and raised the light a little more dropping that leaf to 876 this reduced back 5 heads to the low 700rds ppfd, and the front 4 heads to high 500rds. Gets me out of my range of 600-900 ppfd I am going for, but not happy with the discoloration. This sf 1000 is difficult to grow with because the acceptable range of 600-900 ppfd for flower is a very small window, in order to make it work and produce you have to have a very even canopy.

I know you know the plant will start to show signs of lighter green in the leaves as it makes the transition from veg to flower and the need for phosphorus increases. Looks normal and healthy to me in the first pic. Probably not a need to change anything.

Actually I am fairly new have a couple grows under my belt but, still very much in the learning stage of all this. So you think this is just normal transition to flower, that's a relief I was thinking this light was going to be the death of me with the small window of proper ppfd. Okay I keep an eye on it and see what happens, I will leave light a little high today, it will need to be moved up again before lights out I am sure.

Thanks for the reply.

No worries. That's some really nice training on that plant.

The plant looks great.

Being under the perfect ppfd is better than being over.

I will say once I topped out with fox farm I switched to the full advanced nutrient line... we are talking 600 to 700 for the full line up compared to about 150 for fox farm....

I was scared to make the switch but 100% glad I did in the end!!!

If not looking to switch at least grab some rhinoskin (silica additive) from advanced nutrients it'll bring your harvest up a notch! I would add that into my fox farm regimate

Your right 100% light burn. That's exactly what it looks like. When transitioning to flower the new fast growth from stretch can handle 1000 ppfd.
at first you can use about 650 ppfd. When stretch is over you can use 1000 ppfd. I don't think its ferts.

I used to run the advanced trio, I almost forgot how well it did. The ph perfect blend was rad, every time I tested it, it was goldilox. I may have to check those out again.

Thank you the training was very minimal, she was very branchy from the start, she even grew branches from her water leaves (which I had never seen before) here is that thread,
https://www.thcfarmer.com/threads/branch-coming-from-the-water-leaves.148894/

The little bit of training I did was at the end of that thread, then of course lolipop'ed before switching to 12/12.

Thanks my next feed is going to be the highest nitrogen I have ever given her, week 3 of 12/12 on Fox farm schedule. Then I have a flush and she will be getting nitrates reduced after that point. This makes sense I guess as the 3rd week of flower is the end of the stretch period but the recommendation does seem very high on nitrates.

Yeah getting and keeping her in the proper ppfd is a difficult task with the sf 1000 (100watt light) it has the proper spectrum and if moved to close can get up to the 1600s in ppfd, so it has the power for sure, but the window of the proper ppfd is literally like 4 inches top of 4 inches 900 ppfd, bottom of the 4 inches 600 ppfd. It's the only light I have grown with but I am curious if higher watt lights increase that range? Would be nice to have an acceptable range of.maybe a foot or two feet so the canopy doesn't have to be so even.

Ok I have a question about that ppfd range because the other day I checked the ppfd outside because it was hot 91degrees. And it was 2134 and my plants are loving it. Maybe it’s the type of light

I have heard this from many people, on my first grow I did this and it didn't start coming together until I increased to full dose and switched from a feed water schedule to a feed feed water schedule. I always start them off at 1/5th recommended, then increase to half dosage by end of veg, unless she is asking for more, then I increase to 2/3rds. Then on flower I move to full dosage. I am sure, as I have heard this in many places that some situations would be good for half dosage ( maybe in soil?) but if she is asking me for more I try to get her up to full dose. But I am worried about the amount they are suggesting for week 3 of 12/12, when she is close to dry I will take a look at her and see if she is getting light green on new growth or if she stays consistent on the color, and make a decision. I had a lot of issues on my first grow because of using half dosage, second grow went much better with the game plan I am using now, and this one seems to be going well but at the end of the day I am trying listen to her and increase or decrease based off her colors, growth, tips of leaves, and many other factors. Maybe you right and it's too much, idk I am newish, but for now I'm continuing on with full dose.

I appreciate the advice and as I have heard this in many many places I have to assume it's good advice.

Yeah when I pulled the light back a little bit she started getting more even color on that leaf throughout the day, it was early early signs of too much light I believe. Idk but she was looking better by the end of the day. I will keep it a little.lower on the ppfd and adjust it up slowly during later stages of flower. Thanks for that info very helpful.

I will be looking at different options when I run through this stuff, will do some research on the advance nutrients, thanks for the suggestion.
