Why Under-Canopy Lighting Can Be the Best Bang for Your Buck

Cannabis is a crop with a uniquely dark sub-canopy and tight crop spacing that presents ideal conditions for using LEDs in a narrow body with an upward-facing form factor.

Supplement blue light to open up stomata !

Hi all, Does anyone have experience supplementing light wavelengths at different parts of life cycle for different reason?? Blue should.open stomata thus increase nutrient uptake supposedly... testing it out

Info from a prodict supplier is usual bias… this is a case of it depends. I may be beneficial in some circumstances but very far from all.

the amount of BS info in this industry is more than you can imagine. You can fond an argument to drive nails through you plants to increase yields. Its the R:FR ratios that impact what they are talking about not blue.

this more is better is just BS where do you stop? Blue light is good for plants so we must grow with all blue light… must be true right?

this 1500umol lighting is also done with co2. A plant has photosynthetic rates and can only so so much… if you have shit light intensity supplied it may help but not if your already pushing the photosynthetic limits…. Photosynthesis is an over all plant accumulation not a leaf by leaf rate…. So if your maximizing already under lighting is a total waste of money

it all depends on the lights you use, the spectral ratios, the environment, nutrients and our desired morphology of the plant.

there is no right or wrong just different…

I have an idea. How about we learn to work with what we got? It works for me.

It makes sense for greenhouses that can grow 7 foot tall plants.

The light intensity on the bottom buds is bright enough to not produce larf in my 4x4.
