Have been using another forum, but that website seems to get toxic at times so I’m looking for a change.

I’m already 8 weeks into this current grow, and 3 weeks into flower so I’ll give some basic info on the grow and then give a weekly update moving forward.

Genetics are ILGM OG Kush autoflower.
Growing in a 18x18x56 grow tent. Using 4in ac infinity inline fan for active outtake, and a 6 inch oscillating ac infinity fan. I have a 2nd 6 inch fan on the floor of the tent to circulate air under the canopy.
Using a 3 gallon fabric pot and Soil in pot is as follows:

Bottom 1/2= 75% strawberry fields, 25% perlite, 1 1/2 tbs dolomite lime

Top 1/2 = 37.5% happy frog, 37.5% ocean forest, 25% perlite, 1 1/2 tbs dolomite lime.
I added dolomite lime to the soil mix after reading up about PH issues in fox farm soil. PH was my main issue last grow, so I added it to see if it would help.

150w Viparspectra xs is set to around 85%, in slowly moving it to 100%. The light is at about 18 inches from the top of the canopy.

We’re in week 3 of flower and the bud sites are starting to develop nicely.

I am using Gaia Green nutes. I top fed 2 tbs bloom and 1 tbs all purpose the first feeding at week 4, and 2.5 bloom and .5 all purpose at week 7. I have been supplementing with recharge once a week and adding fish shit to each watering to improve the health of microbes. I’ve also given one watering with 1tbs molasses and will giVe a bit more soon. I don’t want to overdue the molasses but I have heard/read of the benefits in flower so I want to give it a try.

I ran into some deficiencies earlier in the grow, about week 5. It was a magnesium deficiency that In the end I was able to correct by adding some epsom salt to the grow. The plant also developed a k deficiency so I top dressed some langbeinite.

All the issues seem to have been fixed, but some of the old growth looks a bit rough.

Either way she’s looking much better now and starting pack on some weight!

Temps during the day are around 77 degrees and 70 degrees at night. RH is a consistent 50-55%. I would like to lower the temps a bit in the tent, but it’s hard in the winter with the heat running.

Any tips or comments are greatly appreciated!!!

Hey JR,

Looking at your plant pics you may need to boost the N2. The lower leavers appear slightly chloritic. Low N2 plants break down proteins in older tissue to relocate to the more actively growing meristems.

Post flowering pollinated or not cannabis begins senesce and leaves deteriorate, yellowing, etc.. But based on your plants stage of flowering it seems a little early to see chlorosis, especially since it is restricted to the older leaves.

Hey Zill,

Thanks for the advice. In the future Ill probably stick with higher ratio of all purpose nutes in flower to make sure they are getting enough N2.

JR,
Be careful with your fertilizers. As the plants approach flowering or reach a particular height typically then the switch is made: less N2 and pour on the P to force and produce lots of flowers. If you hit your plants too hard with N2 fertilizer you may end up in a vegetative state and can dramatically reduce the number of flowers produced.

I like foliar fertilizer applications. It allows me to more tightly control the fertilizer I add and I'm not too worried of overfertilizing. Also, foliar applications act quickly and helps identify a deficiency.

Enjoy '23 JR!!

Zill.
