WOW..
Am so grateful for a gift my friend gave me yesterday, he was Cockers ranch hand and gave me some very special gifts I will treasure in memory of my dear friend...
Hand written by Joe several pages of lyrics to his songs and one of Joe's stone pipes.
Will toke on it for years to come and be feelin alright knowing Joe is in a much better place and some day we will laugh and sing once again.
Like he always told me.... Love ya man..
In joes memory

Thanks man. For many years I was pretty fucked up, a liar, thief, drunk. But always a good friend.
Got some amends to make, mostly to myself.
I try to be honest, caring, sharing to make up for the lost years....
Feels pretty good to feel pretty good....

Joe IS a legend, because through his art he will live forever...
Let's all get high with a little help from our friends...
CM: I'd be honored to smoke a bowl with you in that pipe...

If u follow @chickenmans threads This guy Is a humble man. We all have and will do some things we regret in life . The simplicity of life u have created for yourself is what will be part of your legacy ..... On another note. .... Hope that JBL is on full blast with Joe and many more good friends and memories. M

The simple things, Joe knows...

Damn @chickenman what i would do to hear some of your stories! If you are ever wanting to share, my ears are open!! What was joes favorite strain, if you know of course. Most importantly sorry for your loss.

Joe once told me about a incident in Amsterdam.
He got to the hotel, no doubt a fancy place and fired up a bowl. The alarm went off and the hotel manager appeared and said Mr Cocker we do not allow smoking in our rooms and your smoking CANNABIS!!!
Joe told me he was so embarrassed. joe was rather shy actually
That's how he was. most rock stars would have said fuck you I am a rock star I do what I want....
I would go and visit. Joe most times needed a shave and his hair was not combed, just a regular Joe. that's what he was and wanted to be....
It was great getting baked with him. One time we sat and listened to a soon to be released song he did with Santana Hendrix's song Little wing.

Shortly after it started Joe did his thing, feeling the music, his gyrations was him feeling the music in his soul...
Several years back I got ahold of a Blue Berry cut From Sky High. He really like that smoke and last summer we grew that and a few other strains. Joe was fascinated by how sticky and stinky his plants were.
We harvested and trimmed it for him and he was happy to have 9 different strains to choose from.
I kept Joe well supplied for many years....
So sad to see him go down hill. his attitude was he was so lucky to have lived such an amazing life...It's going to be alright mate.....he knew and accepted his fate, what courage...
Love ya man, that's what he told me many times.
both Joe and I are alcoholics. Joe had 14 years as I have done. We found strength in each's others recovery...Hey man If you can do it so can I....
He put everything into his music, something just not found in today's musicians...
we had him for brunch one day and it's was so nice...
