Indoor watering question for first grow

Should I be watering my girls till runoff completely soaking them. They are 40 and 33 day old autos. Candy kush and Hindu Kush. They’re in 80/20 FFOF soil/perlite 5gal fabric pot. I had nothing but issues with my 1st outdoor grow. Humidity and lack of knowledge crushed me. 6 plants had bud rot and the 7th hermied. Just seems like a lot of water. Right now they are getting 1/2 gal every other day with 1/2 foxfarm tiger every other watering. Cal/mag 1x week 2ml/gal
