CatJock and to Kolah ; here is one more point that is hidden currently about working with an MMED and the forms. Fed and State forms;its easy to admit usage of any kind when filling out these forms but beware;
1. driving DUID; if you admit MMJ usage- these forms constitute " reasonable cause "(sobiety test) then comes the car search in dry counties like Otero County, jail with a 10 day mandatory minimum next. I know there MMED forms are private and not avaliable to state cops yet,. can explain this legally if needed
2. Obama Care, as we speak Obama Care is still being written and re-written. Some new additions to health care
All this COULD happen after you check the box, I use MMJ or smoke tobacco. Be careful. Still speculative as some are currently fighting this privacy and tax invasion for us.
- As part of health care FDA, Fed Dept of Ag and Many other agencies you'll find the Pooling/grouping of terms (Tobacco use, Drugs, and smokers)
- Like many other socialized Med countries new verb-age to support and added cost to the insured , smokers tax you. higher - Co-pay/deductible
- NewVerb-age smoking cessation practices,” and or replace the word “practices” with “treatment.”
- NewVerb-age to include "At time of medical visit Smokers absorb 'treatment program' cost to maintain Insurance plan" . Gov Drug Treatment, huh?
Lino, you seem like a nice guy, and you seem to be pretty smart. However, I have to call bullshit on you, here. I am in the health insurance industry here in Colorado, and your post either doesn't make sense or more likely, doesn't apply.. What are you talking about and where can others find this info?
Thanks for everyones feedback on this topic.
So...Do the Big Pharma workers have to go through such a in-depth background check?
How about the little people who work in drug store pharmacies?
What about people who work in liquor stores?
People who sell cigs?
People who sell aspirin? cough syrup?
If not, then can someone explain to me why MJ employees are held to such bullshit regulations? I could see it if it was selling meth, crack or heroin but it's just fucking weed, a mild drug which wears off in about 3 hours, is non-toxic, non-addicting and has never be proven to kill anyone.
The owner called me again this morning trying to convince me that the MMED badging process is not all that bad. I think not. And there is really no way around it as he would be risking his ass to cover mine.

I love quizzes. Now why on earth would cannabis be any different?
You're a bit early, but I still loledLicensing and bureaucracy is the only way Colorado doesn't end up with DEA thugs torching and destroying our businesses unlike what the "industry" in CA has experienced because of lack of regulation. The MED runs a simple CBG w/ FBI fingerprint screening and they check to make sure you don't owe state taxes - how difficult is that for someone to pass? Even if you owe taxes you setup a bullshit payment plan and you're fine. The licensing requirements keep the industry legit and MED has proven to be an ADVOCATE for the small shops in town. Sure they love the revenue from the big guys but from the inspectors to the investigators - they're rooting for the basement warrior turned legit.
Your application will be reported to your local police, who will in turn investigate you for cultivation. If you are growing, you better be sure you are compliant...
Bullshit. Cops do knock and talks all the time up and down the front range. Are you suggesting the MMED is checking caregivers and plant counts? In CO, MED is the police; there's little difference. Local police don't investigate illegal cultivation except incidentally-- that's MED's job. And there is no evidence they will investigate you for applying for an MED badge-- that's unfounded speculation.
