Hey I've been searching the internet for something to spray my plants with that are in the flowering stage to prevent and stop bud rot. Now here's the tricky part I need something that I can actually get shipped to Australia. Everything I've found that I can use in the flowering stage I can't get shipped to Australia. CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME. I just picked one plant that I lost about 20% to bud rot and my other 3 bigger ones still have 5 weeks left and I found the tiniest bit of bud rot on one of them today.

I've put so much into theses plants I don't want it all to go to waste right at the end

There’s not really a treatment that kills bud rot. You’ll need to address the underlying problem that leads to the rot. You could have rot due to worms, trapped moisture, or fungus. Botrytis is a systemic mold (meaning it’s inside your plant) and if you’re outdoors it’s everywhere.

If I remember correctly you were in a high humidity environment. Are you using fans? Are you covering the plants during rain events? Have you trimmed out all the leaves and branches under the main canopy to increase the air flow? You should also tease (pull apart) your buds. Grab a surgar leave and try and pull the bud away from the stem to let air in. The bud will move back into place so you might have to pull em apart every day. Or even chop out good bud just to allow air into the larger colas. Better to lose 20% then 100%.

And when you see the tiniest rot act like it’s Ebola. Spray it with isopropyl alcohol (while protecting the surrounding foliage) and cut out ALL the rot. The IPA will help kill off the spores while you’re doing the cutting. And then clean your clippers and hands really well (once again w/IPA) before making additional cuts. Contaminated clippers and hands will spread mold and you’ll be chasing your trail.

And with some strains you’re just going to be completely fucked. If you have rain, fog, dew, high humidity, etc with thick colas, almost assuredly you’re going to get rot.

I've got a fan out there now and about a week or so ago I put up a clear tarp over the top so they are safe from rain I trimmed alot of leaves off today to help air flow and I will give I'll give a go at pulling the buds apart tomorrow..

But I thought putting alcohol on them is bad for them?

It is on anything you would want to keep. But once the bud gets rot there’s no saving it. And while you’re trimming out the rot it’s easy to spread mold spores. (Some growers will just wet down the rotten bud with water.) Not suggesting you spray the entire plant, rather use a small hand sprayer and spray just the effected bud. If you just have small buds and no large colas, just snip off the bud. But if you have a large branch that has rot in the middle, you may be able to save part. I’ll normally use paper towels to protect the surrounding leaves while spraying. The alcohol isn’t going to hurt the stems so not a big issue if they’re getting wet and will help beat back any rot or mold that develops on the stem. You don’t want to skimp on the trimming. Make sure to remove anything that shows any rot, along with the surrounding foliage. Better to be safe than sorry. If you leave any rot/mold it will quickly spread and take down the entire plant, so need to be really vigilant.
