Yes pm and rot are my main issues as well. Bugs and frost I can deal with easier honestly. But as they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure... the scrog and leaf blower were game changers for me honestly.

I'm in Southern michagin.get something that finishes early like @michgranpa said.or you can do light deprivation if you have the mornings off to pull tarps. Come October late September shit can get dicy from all the moisture.get something organic to spray on cattapallers. Have fun watch out for thieves. Make sure to have a decent trellis system set up if your gona grow trees.the buds will get huge and break off branches. I try to spray with lacto biscelouse and compost tea at least once a month for powdery mildew and.blight prevention.dont spray buds try to keep them dry.lol you should see us out there like maniacs with leaf blowers after the rain. Check out Korean natural farming if you have the time and want to make your own fertilizers.....

Growing outdoor weed is really not much different than growing tomatoes if you want to have a crop to compare to that you can use as a guide in regards to soil management and plant care. Same basic nutrient needs. NPK. Most of the genetics tend to come from humid, hot areas so they tend to like a more tropical environment for the most part.

The fastest way to produce your own homegrown would be to do an indoor run under lights.
