Hi, new grower and new member to thc farmer.

I’ve been researching how to grow weed in a grow tent periodically for a long time now and finally made an account.

I will be using a 4x4x6.5 grow tent, Philizon PL-3000 grow light, ac infinity 529 controller(looking to upgrade to controller 69) and ac infinity t6 inline fan as exhaust.

(Also have 2x4 tent with bestva led and houseplants in for now)

I’m looking to grow autos at first and maybe later expand into photos, once I get a few auto grows under my belt..

I also will be using Gaia Green dry amendments (power bloom, all purpose, gypsum for calcium, epsom for magnesium, mykos root inoculant) and was thinking either natures living soil or Promix hp mix. Also will be adding perlite and worm castings into my soil and “cooking” for a few days prior. Also was thinking use some fish shit and maybe a small amount of great white for the root base when I transplant for the extra beneficial microbes. Top dress in around 4 weeks. Water when dry only. Dose epsom every 2nd feeding… I think… wanting to feed the soil and keep everything organic

Anyways I’m waiting to finish getting everything to start my grow. tell me what you think and what suggestions you may have.

This is what I have so far..

A 300W LED isn't enough light to fully flower a 4x4. Ideally, you want about twice that to flower 16 square feet. The ACI T6 is perfect for exhausting a 4x4. You might add a couple smaller fans to keep air moving through and below the canopy. I don't run organic, so I can't comment on the rest of your plan.

I plan to add 2 smaller fans, carbon filter and a silencer before I start my 1st grow. Also want to upgrade to ac controller 67 or 69 soon after I begin I think.

As for the philizon pl-3000 led, I was going based off the product description which said it’s for 4x4 and 5x5 area. I have a smaller bestva purple led, should I add it in too? Maybe the purple will help my spectrum from the philizon?

I’m kinda on a budget atm to afford everything and actually get going with a grow. Things added up on me quick on me for a complete setup.

Can’t upset the wife, happy wife happy life.

Yeah, "saving money" by growing does seem to get expensive. When cash flow allows, a correctly-sized light for that space will pay for itself with the first harvest, assuming you're growing somewhere flower prices haven't collapsed. In the meantime, you don't have to use the whole space. Flower a 3x3 footprint and you'll have plenty of light. Or, there's no rule that says you can't flower the whole thing if you don't mind the larf on the edges. You can try adding the blurple...let your plants tell you what they think of the light level. Flat and level = happy. Praying at the end of the day = more, please. Tacoing, edge curl, twisting, bleached tops = too much.

Welcome to the farm. I try to grow all organically myself. I have heard a lot of good things with ganja green. Sound like you are well on your way! Good luck.

Thanks for the info, so much appreciated.

I will try my bestva burple light and see how my plants react to tho both of them when flower time comes. If they don’t react well to the purple, I will try to keep a 3x3 footprint.

When you say footprint, do you mean the side my canopy will be or the size of the pots on the ground?

Area of your canopy. Plant count and pot placement are kind of irrelevant...you could fill a 3x3 canopy with one plant or nine plants, depending on veg time.

Hey welcome, I use Promix type soils and I try to bring my perlite up to 33% by adding 15% more to it. worm castings if I have them or not and I use General Hydroponics 3 part flora with Floralicious plus and Kool Bloom from weeks 3-7ish in flower.....

I think your light will be ample to start I've 2 - SE3000 about the same as yours and mine have good coverage around the edges not just straight down and with the tents reflectivity you should be good to go. I've also a 100w Burple light shinning with them now as added light in my 5 x 5

Don't worry too much about auto's and Photo's, I like controlling when I flip them and I really think photo's are not as finiky as auto's to grow, If you have a tent and timers ???? what does it matter??? 6 weeks in veg flip to 12/12..... 8 weeks + later whalla buds!

I want to do photos cause looks like I get a more powerful finished product.

..But the thing is I need to bring some fruit to the table to show my wife this ain’t no game, which is why i plan to do atleast 1 auto harvest before I got for a photo

I finally got around to setting up my 6inch ac infinity fan and controller. Did a little testing with it too and man I’m excited to get started!

After all the testing with my humidifier, fan and auto controls… it also go me thinking about all sorts of DIYs and contraptions

Oh and I have an old burple bestva led light in thinking to adding in.

can I see your setup with the added burple led? @PipeCarver

Decided to try and sell my AC infinity controller 529(old version) and t6 fan along with it.

To my surprise I got a hit and was able to sell it locally for $140CAD. I then found a used t6 from Amazon with a 69 controller for $190, the $50 upgrade seems worth to me. I saw a few bad things about the controller 529, so I’m pretty excited

I also needed to buy a new bed frame to get my desired 15 inch clearance.. since my tent is so close to my bed. Which will now allow me to have intake from outside and exhaust into attic

As they say, patience is key
