Hello everyone I'm new here but i've been growing/perfecting my craft in my little garden for almost 8 years while working for GreenLeaf Garden for almost 4 years and I'm proud to meet y'all. I'm willing to help any cultivator(s) in need of help or assistance or if you're looking for that fire exotic . Here's a picture of me and my bestie and coworker.

Welcome to the (funny) Farm AmandaRollins420!

I'm about the only rockwool grower currently active
here @ the farm. I'm curious what GreenLeaf farms
uses for their grow medium & their nutrient line?

In the pic, I'm surprised they don't make you wear
monkey suits and hair nets...

Never heard of GreenLeaf Farms, but several of us
here at the Farm use GreenLeaf brand nutrients...

Hey FloridaMike, thanks for the welcome! Happy to be here and already loving the "funny Farm" vibe, haha!

I'm actually with GreenLeaf Farms/Distro - though, we're a bit of a smaller operation compared to the big players out in California. We focus on a living soil approach. We're definitely not as well-known in the cannabis industry as a whole, good luck to us trying to topple those industries .

To address that question I am not sure to what the farms growing with Greenleaf nutrients. It would be interesting for me to find out, since I'm all about optimizing the soil food web and keeping things as natural as possible.
Mean while this is how we do it for our farms:
• Worm Castings: If we need to give the soil a slight boost this is my go too, just add it on top. It's a great source of beneficial microbes and slow-release nutrients.
• Kelp Meal: A good source of potassium and trace elements, promoting overall plant health and flowering. I mix this with Worm Castings.
• Compost Tea: A liquid extract made by steeping compost in water, providing beneficial microbes and nutrients to the soil. I like to use this to keep the ecosystem alive and thriving.

(I'll attach a little video, if you look closely you might see the worms, I was in a rush when I was doing the video. Saw the message earlier but didn't get time to reply till now)

And to make sure there is no confusion: We're not associated with GreenLeaf Nutrients, despite the similar name! LMAO. That said, I'm eager to hear how those GreenLeaf nutrients work for you all and what benefits you've noticed. I'm open to learning about different approaches, even if they're outside my comfort zone!

Thanks for the welcome and compliment on the setup! It's definitely a work in progress, always experimenting to dial things in.
You're right, we've got a mix of HPS on one side and LEDs on the other. Honestly, it's tough to give you a definitive answer on which performs "best" because there's a lot of overlap and interaction between the lights. Plus, we're always tweaking things, so it's not a completely controlled comparison.
Generally what we're looking for is the light quality. HPS is great at providing the light that stimulates flower and reproduction, while the L.E.D promotes growth and height in the plant.
Overall, the goal is to create a balanced light spectrum to get the best results, and both types of lights have their strengths. It's all about finding the sweet spot for the particular strains we're working with. Again, appreciate the welcome and the question!
Always happy to share what we're learning.

Eight years flies by when you're having fun with plants. I'm always happy to share what I've learned, and I'm looking forward to learning from everyone here too.

Out of curiosity, is there a specific thread or section here on the forum for sharing photos of our final products, you know, like showcasing the "nuggets" or maybe ongoing project updates? Just trying to figure out the best place to share our GreenLeaf projects as we get going! I'm still trying to learn around this place

Awesome! Thanks for the heads-up on "the Train Wreck" thread – sounds like my kind of place! I'll definitely swing by and say hi to all the kewl kids.
And huge thanks for pointing me towards @Mikedin's threads and the Grow Diaries section. I'm eager to tap into his living soil knowledge and definitely plan on starting a GreenLeaf Distro grow diary soon.

Appreciate the warm welcome and all the helpful info!

Alright, alright! I hear you – time to bring the ! I'll definitely get some photos up in here soon, gotta find the best lighting for the nug shots, haha!
And to answer your question: At GreenLeaf Distro, we primarily focus on flower. Most is for smoking, a tiny bit for extractions though. We're working on the flower game!

I like this thread! What do you do?
