Is it not recommended to trim autos?

I have read online that it's not recommended to trim auto flower unless it's really needed..is this correct? I would like to trim some of the fan leaves but not if it will hurt them.

you can trim only like 20% of the plant once you have some stable bud structure otherwise it will stress out the plant and wont have much time to recover Best thing to do is to tuck the leaves and try to open it up a bit

LST the branches. It'll open up the canopy without stressing the plant.

Ok thanks...the one in the front i stressed out and it stopped growing and started to flower very early. I've been careful with the other two

You can defoliate when you are getting close to the end to stress the plant out and it will focus on the bud size

i've done mostly autos and pinch off any leaves that grow inwards with no issue. i've also pruned and lollipoped the crap out of them with no issue.
just keep an eye out for seed sacs if you do anything
