Definitely old, all the ones I’ve started so far were acquired over time. At least over the last 5 years. Literally came out of weed we were using to smoke. So not sure on genetics or if there even worth growing, but being my first time figured it wouldn’t hurt to get a hang of it before spending money on good seeds. Were the seeds old by any chance? Where did you get them?
Awesome, I kinda figured it was a slight gamble. I kept them in an “airtight” container (preroll container), wouldn’t say cold at all but definitely as sealed as those things are, But would you say the slight yellowing on tips and curling is from the deformity or something else?If you wanna keep seeds for longer than a year you need to store them in the fridge, air tight and sealed so no moisture ruins them
I would say its likely the seed being goofy. It doesnt look hungry. I can see some slight yellowing on the tips which suggests that either theyre having too much light or they had a tiny bit too many nutes. I can also see 2 brown marks. Again, Id say its the seed being goofy but also you need to get your ph to 6,2 for veg and 6,5 for flower. Dont go below 6,2 as it messes with the nutrient uptake because youre using a soil that has peat in it. If it were only coco it would be different.Awesome, I kinda figured it was a slight gamble. Thank you greatly, this was my next question actually would you do any form of training? This is my first time growing and I have a couple slightly more experienced friends that grow and they all said to top it soon and start tying them down but being my first time wasn’t to sure if I should or when. And knowing my seeds are older and possibly not female wasn’t to sure on this part.If youre gonna keep them avoid toping them and if you are gonna defoliate keep it to a minimum as they get easily stunted. It’s better to let them grow without any kind of training or they will take forever to finish and give small buds.
Thank you greatly, Im gonna water tonight and I’ll make sure to PH accordingly. Would you water until runoff? I’ve heard a lot of back and forth about this, I never have and prefer the light watering more frequently, but being the medium I’m using and it not being like Coco not sure if this is necessary or needed.I would say its likely the seed being goofy. I dont always do it but is good to do it from time to time and water slowly. Mostly so you make sure you dont have dry pockets of soil inside the pot. Many times when I water a tiny bit of runoff comes out but thats fine, its reabsorved quickly, but I dont deliberately water to 10% runoff all the time. Sometimes people have way too many plants to bother watering slowly so watering until 10% runoff is to make sure all the soil is moist.Thank you greatly, Im gonna water tonight and I’ll make sure to PH accordingly. I appreciate all the help and sorry for the million questions. I’m definitely gonna stick to the letting them do their own thing method for now, Especially being my first grow. And I finally have some plant risers coming today so there not flat on the plates, and I’ll give them a good watering tonight. Again thank you very much. I enjoy growing so far and it’s definitely nice having a good support system when it comes to what to improve on.If they came from a bud, theyre still most likely feminized its just that theyre more likely to herm. Be on the look out for bananas if thats the case. Toping would be definetely a no for me with those plants but maybe you can tie down some branches, that doesnt stress them nearly as much. Cutting stuff does.
Watered with RO water PHed to 5.8-6.0
And have watered with plain RO water PHed to 6.0-6.4 since
Micronutrient toxicity due to low pH is a possibility. It was my first thought when I looked at the pictures. Have you done a soil pH test? A slurry test is easy to do.If the plant starts showing spots, its most likely a micronutrient deficiency.
