Starting 2 week of flowering and noticed the bud sites are almost light light green yellowish is that normal or nutrient deficiency?

Notice how the leaves just below are filling out with color? Looks like healthy new growth to me. Is this something new going on?

You may have noticed that new growth tends to green up more as they get light and chlorophyll develops. When you start getting explosive growth this can lag a little.

A deficiency is a possibility so keep an eye on how they green up but overall looking healthy and happy. If you feel the need to add nitrogen go real easy on it. You can always add more if they really need it. They may need just a little push.

every light creem spot you see is an emerging bud site. They are growing so rapidly that they appear light yellow but they will darken over time. Here’s my plants week 3 and 2 of flower for reference

You're doing great. Any first grow that makes it to completion is a success. I learn a little more every grow....especially when I screw something up. Lol I'm sure you will learn as you go too. Keep it up!

Dang I hate when I find those. Especially when you go 12+ weeks veg and you flip…then find stick and balls. It hurts the soul.

You should be good it looks like you got him out before he got laid lololol. As far as defoliating everyone has their preferences. Me, i defoliate and lollipop a few days before I flip to flower. I let these plants flower 18 days before I gave them a really heavy defoliation and I only did that bc I’m battling high humidity. Otherwise I’d normally wait till day 21 for a defol.

During the flowering stage you don't want to do any major defoliation after week 3, a big leaf here and there for air flow/light penetration is ok but anything more needs to be done during week 3.

I just did my smaller tent a week ago, my back still hurts lol.

Defoliation in flower is often debated, I'll tell you why I do it now.
In my bigger 8x4 tent, I grew the same strain back to back with the same equipment, soil, nutes, water source, pot layout, etc. The first grow of that strain I did not defoliate in flower, the second grow of the same strain I did defoliate in flower and all 6 plants combined harvested just over 5 ounces more then the grow I didn't defoliate in. Now I defoliate everytime.

This is a pic of my current smaller 4x2 grow, right after my defoliation in week 3

This pic is from today, 6 days after defoliation
