Is This Normal?

Hello all,
That is fruiy jack coming from the soil.
But looks weird to me is this normal sprout behavior?
Should it stay in the dark room or should i start with hps power?

Hard to see it all that well but if it had trouble losing the seed shell and/or the other skin like stuff-sorry can't remember technical name-it could cause it to look like this,keep soil moist and give it light but not too much just yet,if using an hps keep the light raised at least 24 inches above and keep the soil moist,not too wet or dry,should come alive soon.

That looks fine.once it clears the medium the seedling will straighten out by growing towards the light
