This showed up after one dose of bloom booster.
More brown stuff and a white flour like substance. I opened it up and there are WORMS in there. They are tunneling into the stalk!!!!!!No. It could be the start of bud rot but it doesn't appear to be nutrient related. Nitrogen deficiencies typically have a light green color and yellowing leaves. P and K issues result in twisted and poor looking newer growth. You look pretty good except for the areas in the buds. There is something else that has been appearing, with purple growth being one symptom, but it is usually accompanied by mangled new growth as well. How is your humidity and air circulation?
I don't use bloom boosters so I can't comment on what the plant's reaction to too much is, but I think the two might be a coincidence.
I guess I wasn't as diligent as I should be. Missed them. OMG... what a drag. I was going to give the plants a good spray with the hose. But someone else said not to, as the pressure might just push them in farther. I think it will wash off those that aren't yet inside and all the eggs.Ahhh yes, cabbage moth worms. They just showed up yesterday and today everywhere. Some big stalks are gonna have to go. I slammed the holes with water, hopefully I drowned them. What is BTK? Someone told there isn't anything to use. Just try to stay on top. We haven't had rain in 2 weeks. That may be why. Gonna foliage water every few days now.I had them last year, little fckers were dropping out while the plants hung drying too. Spraying BTK this year and haven’t had any. Everything i read is how safe it is but i still soak everything in a bucket of water before drying.

I have been reading up on it. Very nervous using a chemical on the plants. Trying to find info. Studies show no egpffect if used on vegetables and this btk has been used on crops for years. I have read all about this stuff and want to use it. But I can't find any info that tells you how long a time frame between spraying and consuming??? I don't spray vegetables if I am picking. I give 2 weeks between spraying and harvest for my veges. Do you know what the recommended time is? I was told to save all those worm infested buds, leaves and colas in a bag and start drying them...I deal with them every year. I was harvesting all the buds they had eaten for about a month (good smoke believe it or not) but finally purchased a bottle of bt at a local nursery.

$15.99 for a pint and works like a charm. Spraying down the whole plant, flowers and all starting 2 weeks ago and have only found 3 moth larva since. I was pulling off about 8 a night on the most infested plant. Haven't even seen any on her is over a week.
I've pulled off close to 2 oz of dried bud in the past month plus off her but today she has new flower growth all over.

Give it a try on one stem and see how it goes. Sold on this stuff and will be spraying all outside plants weekly after flowering starts from now on.

Wow is that main cola infested!??? The dark spots, they are shaded or infested.???? That's one cola that would make me cry if I lost it. I am going to get the bkt tomorrow. How much do you use. So I have Monterey Bt and BKT...... anyone know of a difference between the two worth mentioning?Its not a pesticide. It wont kill the adult moths. It gets eaten by the larvae and they dont grow properly and die off. It takes at least 2 weeks to work because of the adult fliers left. It is a natural method and the bacteria is not harmful to is or the plant.
That said i would wash any outdoor buds regardless.
BTi is the bacteria for fungus gnats and mosquitos. It has seemed to work on the gnats in my garden after months of infestation in about 10 days. I am seeing no new adults now.
I am assuming BTk works the same way. Please someone correct me if i am wrong.
