Hi,

This is my first growth and the leaves looked healthy to me, but today I noticed a few leaves with some spots (rust?). I also noticed some of them having very subtle darker redish undetones, mostly leaves on top. The two young leaves that are yellow and dry, I am guessing are the result of waiting too long between waterings.
Is this anything to worry about? I should say that I am following a general guide on adding nutrients and not measuring EC and all that. And this is an auto. Thanks for your help! :)

No

It’s just a blemish & one leaf & sometimes that happens with the other

The yellow dead leaf at the bottom isn’t massive either

I guess you’ve just watered it as it looks very wet

I saw this last week how’s it looking now

Yes it was just watered before taking the picture.

It got much worse in just a couple of days. It is mostly top leafs which got these dark spots, which I read is often a sign of calcium deficiency. I wasn´t adding any calcium, because I read that if tap water is medium hard, it should be enough, but I ordered calcium supplemets now.

Not sure if you've been overwatering or your pot is holding water and doesn't drain but looks like root rot cause the roots are not getting air do to soil saturation.

I am pretty sure I am not overwatering, I let it dry in between waterings and the pot has drainage. Also this doesn't look like root rot to me.

That looks to me like a calcium deficiency.....I have fallen victim a few times myself, especially since they 'fixed' our old waterlines in the city. This past year has been difficult dealing with super high PH tap water.
I never used a calcium additive in 20yrs....until this year

Thanks for your input. It looks like that to me too. I just ordered a calcium supplement, an EC meter and pH drops. Hopefully they arrive soon.
How detrimental is this problem for the plant? Is it likely to recover if I fix the issue and will it affect the flower alot?

not watering correctly affects nutrient uptake,.

^^^^ I thought you was overwatering myself or letting them get to dry before adding water

If there to dry the are literally drinking nutes

The leaves will stay damaged you can’t reverse that unfortunately however once you dail it in it will recover albeit not the damaged leaves they will probably die depending on how far there gone.

I did notice the a fair few fan leaves are single or three bladed they should of grown out of that it could be down to stress or genetics however I’d guess in this case it’s stress

Incorrect watering can do a lot more damage than you’d think

A bit of cali mg can’t hurt but I don’t think it’s your problem

I might have waited a day too long to water. But would that have such a big effect?

Yes as said once there bone dry they are drinking raw nutes that are left

It wasn´t bone dry. And I agree with Greenadian it is likely a calcium deficiency becasue I wasn´t adding any calcium and there probably isn´t enough in my tap water.
