It's not great. If it's little dots those are suckling insects.

As long as it's not white or Grey or black little dots it's probably fine. I always treat for pests when I transplant. And once a week for veg. Even if I don't have any.

Confirmed its not white dots. This is under a microscope

Possibly thrip damage - looks like it from here.

Spinosad or pyrethrin treatments with insecticidal soap. If you have other house plants treat those as well.

Thrips are very small and quick. Hard to completely eradicate without a deep clean of all areas.

Looks good. Where I live I can buy only a few things. Safers 3 in 1. Which is mild and works great if you use it regularly. And if it's much worse than just thrips you have to try to get a secret behind the counter bottle of something from the grow store. Because most of the good stuff is banned. I have no pest of fungus issues. I use the safers about ten times on a plant before its done growing. Nothing for the last 5 weeks. That tends to be enough. Another safe method is to use a duster bulb and diatomaceous earth to control any soft bodied pests. It's cheap. Effective. Non chemical. And then there is BT. A mosquito larvae destroying bacteria. Available in most places. Usually used for outdoor.

He did have also what appears to be snail tracks previously.

Ahhhhhh - sorry I was not aware.

A snail would be hard pressed to hang around on those leaves, no?
