I think this where you may have removed the original lower leaves. I twist mine off and have had the same deal show up.

Over 25 years later. Old cannabis is certainly different but then what's the point of it all there's a lot I don't understand . He's special. He doesn't stink. It's powerful. No skunks or diesels.
