In my town they do garden inspections. I'm pretty sure I don't meet the requirements. My grow is supposed to be covered I'm pretty sure. I took the cover off my greenhouse as it was tore to shit and 2 plants were 1.5 feet to tall. I hate that there are requirements. What's wrong with 6 plants behind a 6 foot fence. They are still hidden from site. If I have to top the 2 plants and come up with some cover I will be very disappointed šŸ˜ž. I think it's about smell control. I have 1 neighbor where I live and they haven't ever complained about smell. They are even a local religious school and they appreciate us and how we look after the area. Hell the cops never even patrol my street. Nervous to see what happens.

How in the hell do they even know you have a garden? Did you get a permit? Iā€™m guessing youā€™re in Siskiyou! I would think they have a lot bigger fish to fry than you! They have some mega grows up there.

Yes you have to register your garden and submit a diagram of your yard and qhere the plants will be.

Sometimes thatā€™s what you have to do to be completely legal! And I would suppose you have to abide by the terms of the permit! Be interesting to see what happens. I wonder how many registered grows there are in the county. And how much manpower is devoted to inspecting them? The sheriff up there has always been crying about not having the manpower to handle all the big illegal operations! Always yelling for state and federal help! Have you received a notice saying they are coming by to inspect. Or is it just a possibility according to the permit? I guess it is what it is! And have you been inspected in prior years?

I talked to a friend who got inspected and she said I'm fine. I was always pretty sure you were supposed to be in an enclosure with smell control. This year I took my cover off my greenhouse so I am/was nervous. They do send out notices about coming by for inspection. The guy responsible for inspecting is pretty cool though. Most I would get is a warning but I don't want to rock the boat. If I'm good next year my garden will be much different. We can o ly have 6 plants period. No extra babies or anything at all. Inspection is today so I find out today. I feel much better after talking to a friend.

Unbelievable. What is their second law enforcement priority where you live... LOL? I would seriously be tempted to tell them to fuck off if they showed up!

Always best in my opinion to try and get along. Usually the guy doing that type of inspection for compliance doesn't like to be a dick. Just needs a job and trying to do his job to keep the entity off his ass and get past you with the least amount of friction.
Compared to how it was trying to grow when it was illegal, this is no sweat. Sucks, but whatever.

Well I'm in compliance. I asked what makes my grow legal. All I have to do is be 10ft from the house and fence. Next year my garden will be totally different. Super nice guy. Said he has seen some crazy set ups. He said if neighbors complained about smell he tells the grower to plant fragrant flowers. Glad it's not what I thought.

Glad you passed. I can't even imagine submitting my grow plans or waiting to see if I'm compliant and will pass an inspection. I wouldn't want any of those individuals knowing my business. Same reason I would never get a medical card and give up my right to carry (if you even register šŸ˜) Absolutely not.

What state are you in? Seems like insanity to me.

You did right, Philly! If I could just register and become legal, I would do it in a heartbeat! Back in the day, I had cops, turning my place, upside down on, unrelated matters! Calling in all my guns! Luckily, they werenā€™t stolen! This was before they even had to be registered! If youā€™re a law, Abiding Citizen. Thereā€™s no reason to not have them registered! Then throw an illegal grow on top of it! Fines, confiscations, and restrictions, can add up to a pretty penny! And years of watching other people, shoot guns! You did, right, Philly! IMO! Heā€™s in Cali! I guess I got tired of shooting myself in the foot! Making life hard for myself!
