I've got it down to where it doesn't come out the holes too often, unless I dump too quick and too much at once....

I glug, glug, glug the first time......

take a couple puffs of whatever we're smoking.....

Glug, glug on the second, and then I switch to a solo cup, dumping one at a time till she's good.....

I think those are Airpots and can find generic ones now too. I love the idea of all that air to the roots!!

Yes and they also air prune the roots which let them grow more small once inside instead of one big root and they create a great web inside the pot, which looks awesome and is very efficient.

That is an Airpot like Terp mentioned....

Truth be told, I love it!!

But they can and will grow faster than I need or want in my areas, so once I transplant into it, it's going under 12/12 soon after......

Once the roots take hold, it doesn't take long for it to out-grow the area....

Same to me being in love since years now, and recently bought another size of them(9L)

It's easy imo, me in Coco I like to soak them fully in another container, a little longer dryback and fully saturated in every corner, also no problems with salt build up, from synth. Nutes.
A little trick I do myself is to put the bottom(closed pores) to the top, easier when top feeding.
A necessary move it to push the medium as hard as you can to the sides, I also like to put a small clay layer on the bottom.

I ended up getting a male and a female of Mystery Plant #1.....

Threw them up in the shack and let um do their thing.....

Definitely not a fruity strain....

If I'm not mistaken, these Mystery Plants are in he vicinity of 20ish years old.....

Kinda makes you wonder what strain/s it could be.....

Thank You again GNick!!!

Just watched your cloning videos, and you're taking the tops, have you ever taken the side branches down lower? I'm doing it to flower the clones for sexing so I'm not crazy about cutting the top just yet.

Hey @cpurola this is what I would do with that plant as far as taking a clone. Cut it just above the nodes, take off the next two nodes, dip in cloning gel and Insert in media of your choice.
The two lowerst bramches will then be dominant and the 2 small nodes above that will start to branch out.
Healthy apex clone and a 4 headed plant

Okay, so what happens if the clone doesn't take? That's why I was thinkin' lower branches, so I have more if things go south.

Thats true...... But after another 2-3 weeks you'll have 4 more branches to clone from

Your side branches have enough meat/nodes that you can use those as well....

I usually use the top because of height restrictions......

The lower branches are known to root faster if you clone them....

Theres one way to up your odds to 100% with a clone. Use an air layer on that main stem. Id bend her over 90° and use a plug and some plastic wrap. Just scuff a spot up and throw on some gel. Wrap it in a split plug and keep it moist...roots in bout 10-14days.

And if ya bent it over you have a ton more budsitea to make seed if thats what ya need.

Just sharing some ideas. Cloning is awesome and my preferred way to grow.

Sometimes a clone will get lost and decide not to take....

Then we just grab another branch with a few nodes and repeat....

So if you snip and that one doesn't take, the expedited growth leaves you with a bunch of cloning options....

In other words, do Not worry if your first attempt doesn't work....

After you snip a branch, it'll come back with lots more for you to play with....

I tried my first airlayering tactic on my blueberry bush last year.....

It was a failure, but I learned a thing or two....

Instead of trying to airlayer it again, I'm attempting to ground layer a branch..

I'll have an idea when the snow melts and I can check in on it....

I read about that in my Organic Gardening mag. years ago. Some plants just naturally root when the stem touches the ground. I found it happened with my raspberry plants. (then again, you could chop them up with the lawn mower and they'd survive.. Not a good example. LOL)

That plant is in late flower. I wanted to ensure I got a good clone from her so I did the air layer. I take all my clones in flower but not late flower usually.

Makes cloning real easy. Nothing needs special attention or domes...ect. Just keep it moist with a spray bottle and cut it off when ya get roots...and you'll get roots.

I looked on amazon and there's one with holes, is that desirable or is the solid better? Wait a minute, is that a plastic bag over a rapid rooter?

Yes, you want to seal in the moisture. I use a spray bottle to spray above the layer and let it soak the plug as it runs down the stem.

Its a good way to turn a solo plant into 5 real fast. Air layer the first 4 secondary branching from the bottom and ya have 5 plants in no time.

Or just snagging a clone..anytime in adult grow cycle of the plant. I snag clones at 21days in flower or this way. Occasionally ill grab a regular clone but air layering is super easy.
