Quick update - wife gave birth to our son 6 weeks early last week so I have been struggling to keep up with the grows plus the veggie garden. JH#1 in flower is showing some yellowing coinciding with rust spots. I am thinking either nute burn or Mg def. I flushed her with plain water (tap water ppm is 150 or so) + 1tsp epsom salts for the entire gallon. We shall see how she does.

Also my Spectra 290 came in last week and have transitioned over to it for flower - also moving to the bigger cabinet for flowering. I didn't realize how much heat this thing would generate - lowering heat output was the entire reason for going LED. I will say though this thing burnt a few plants in the smaller box the first day.

So here's a few pics of JH#1 C-1 in flower and then a few shots of everything else in flower (mix of JH#1, BBL#1, LSD). Remember, everything was flowering under a single Glow Panel 45 (26w) LED. Not bad for such a small light - unfortunately JH#1 is now at around week 6 and missed the extra light for weeks 4 and 5.

Sorry for the lack of updates - our son arrived 6 weeks early and spent some time in the NICU and now has a hernia in his groin. So due to managing a newborn and dealing with his issues, I have not had time to really take pics and keep this updated.

So a quick rundown of where I am:
The JH1 that was flowering has been harvested. No scales, so assuming around a 1/2oz. I fed her too soon before harvest so she's got a very powerful fert taste. After the cure, I can finally get a buzz from it - very up/energetic get-off-your-ass-and-do-something high. I never figured out what the issue was with the browning/spotting.

I was able to get two BBLs to flower decently. They were small, and only spent half their flower time under my new light, but they bulked up a little and I got some nice bud from them. Maybe 1/8-1/4 total at best. Very narcotic type of high, wife likes this one the best of anything I have grown so far.

I did harvest the LSD, but it was probably a week early. Not much of a buzz at all from it.

Right now, I have a JH and a BBL going in the veg chamber. I think I am done with the sea of green SOLO cup thing, it just requires way to much time to maintain, which is something I don't have right now.

I have several things in flower right now, but they are all browning at the top. I am thinking either light burn (Spectra 2011 LED 290 - about 12" away) or P def. Can't take pics right now because the lights are out.

Here are pics of my current BBL and JH in Veg.

thanks for the neg. I learn just fine - but MG isn't the *worst* thing I can do. It's not the best for sure, but it's not the worst.

MG is the reason everything you grow is yellow and nute burnt, hes really trying to make it easier on you bro, pure blend nutes are not much more expensive than that MG crap.If you would buy some good nutes it would be so much easier to keep your plants healthy, not half yellow leaves.Pure Blend is under 20 bucks a bottle

Really, because I see the same issue with people using "high quality" nutes. I get the yellowing even before using nutes, have gotten it with two enriched soils and one organic BEFORE ADDING NUTES.

Also, I have a link to a grow journal here for a NL grow, guy used MG soil and MG nutes and the plant grew near perfectly.

That said, I will check in to it and see what I can work out. thanks for dropping by

alright fuck it. $55 and I have ordered the Pro Grow, Pro Bloom (soil version) and Cal-Mag.

Is there anything else I need to supplement with? None of these have any micronutes, while MG does. What is the best to use with these products to add in the Zinc, Manganese, etc?

Those are ppm and ph balanced, you will be so much happier and so will your plants...Those are all you need bro,I run a pk13/14 but its not needed.15 ml every week on the grow and bloom and I feed the cal mag at about 5ml every other feed, that really depends on the strain, some OGs are cal mag whores.....

Ok thanks. Will see how it goes. Will ditch adding soil amendments as well (bone meal, lime, etc).

Maybe I was too short sighted on the nutes, we shall see. This grow op has cost 10x more than I originally anticipated :(

Alright, so no pics just yet - but things are going ok with the nute switch. I started low at 10ml/gal for veg and 11ml/gal for flower. I have worked up to 15ml/gal for both.

Bubblelicious still had a couple leafs drop, and the Jock did the same though they are both doing ok. Whatever discoloration was happening is still occurring but at a much slower pace now.

Took four clones from the BBL last night, and will be moving her to flower at her next feeding. The JH just got a dose of nutes, so will attempt to clone her in a week or so.

I planted a new JH and new LSD, and both are doing very well. The LSD is taller, and required nutes at a much earlier time than most plants I have grown. The JH actually got a little burnt from the soil I'm using. She just got her first dose of nutes a few days ago

Will try to get some pics this weekend.

do you mean the CFL stuff? I picked up the y-adapters from Home Depot (lowe's didn't carry them) and the sockets were pulled from the clip-on utility lights with the half-aluminum dome - both of which are available at the big boxes. You can always just grab a few raw sockets and wires and wire them up yourself to save money. The bulbs you can get from any of the big box home improvement stores.

I picked the Glopanel45 up from Amazon and the Spectra290 from Grow LED Hydro.

The Bubblelicious is getting too tall for the Veg, so I bunched the current crop together and moved her in. I am worried about her stretching and scorching herself on the Spectra290. Heard a few reports of this, and I believe my current crop may have that issue as well (or a bad deficiency).

Anyhow, she started flowering tonight. Here's some shots of her, and her nute issues. I think the lockouts are coming from burn. So I am pulling way back on nutes (which weren't heavy to begin with). I think the bone meal I mixed in is really throwing me off.

The JH1 clone I am running was getting right up against the veg LED, so I decided to LST her some. She's quite wide now, and is kind of crammed into the veg box.

I have a grow tent coming, which will give me an extra sq foot of room or so and plan to toss her into flower at that time.

Here are a few pics. One before the LST, and the rest are from after.
