Somebody smarter than me said to pinch the stem, kind of crush the inside material a little bit. Don’t bust the outside.

Then you can direct the stem into the direction you wanted to go. Hope this helps. āœŒļøšŸ’Ø
Thanks mate, I’ll give it a go next time

Looking good! I personally find it much easier to use garden staples. They really allow you to give the shape you want to the plant (shaping secondary branches as well). See attached pics of my current grow and how it started with LST :)

Does this look okay for low stress training?

as far as idea executed is ok you are using wrong restrain šŸ‘‡
it will break the stem surface biting into it like razor at some point and you will land with infection especially close to medium.
Garden wire specially made for soft stems is the right one to go to or anything so soft that won't dig into stem
Elasticity is also important as stem grows.
I use type of wire that you have there only to restrain green wire in case, not on plants, at least not on cannabis šŸ˜‰ as this is a type of garden wire good for apple trees and grapes for example

Hey thanks I'm going to get some garden staples, I just bought this whole roll of ac infinity plant ties which is what is in the Pic. I didn't know it would hurt the plant, thank you. It is pretty bendy idk if it being ac infinity and actually legit plant ties would make a difference

I use long pipe cleaners. They're soft and won't harm plant tissue. They're also inexpensive and can be reused many times. I also use clips with eyelets to attach the pipe cleaners to the sides of fabric pots. I've used them for many grows and they've worked well for me, but I only do minimal LST.

Minimal as in only 2 ties like I have? That's really all I planned on doing to her, she is a auto, so I could use pipe cleaners without hurting her?

They're soft, so they don't hurt the plant. I also use them to tie supports to heavy branches. 100 of them cost $6 on Amazon.

Hey Trip....those are perfect! When you cut them, if you do, side-cutters work wonders to cut them....then, when you cut them, be sure to grab the loose fibers from the cut....it is super minimal even without taking the loose fibers......

Yes. I bought a pack like that years ago and about half haven't been used yet. I couldn't think of a reason they shouldn't be reused, except if they were in contact with a diseased plant. I haven't had one of those, though.

I cut a few when I first started using them. Now I use the short ones to tie the extras together. Now I bend excess out of the way. That leaves room for adjustment, and they can be reused.

twist tie is nice in repairs of soft restrains and tweaking around the tent - so you will surely use it going forward ;D

Have a nice Fuzzy LST 🤟

I've seen those ties but done use them personally.
I use the AC Infinity ties in the picture below, they sell them in a Soft version and a Heavy Duty version.
I use the Heavy Duty version, idk why they sell a Soft version because the Heavy Duty is actually soft as well.
