Recouping losses. Such Bullshit! Seriously! If you are independent and growing yourself, there just doesn't seem to be a way to recoup your losses if you grow the "PROPER WAY". Yes, that means drying/curing/aging (2 months), using all organic and a clean sterile environment.
This is WAY expensive! It takes a lot of money to go from seed/clone to premium bud that you can sell to "Recoup" your losses... Maybe I'm just looking at the initial investment and cringing and not looking at the big picture. This first harvest, when it's ready, will cost close to $3,000 when all is said and done. If we get lucky and get a 1/2 gram/watt, we'll end up with around a pound of very nice dank.
From what I've heard, places that buy are low-balling the MMJ Card Holders. The law estimates that a pound sells for (approx.) $1,800 to $6,000 a pound. Then I hear that Card Holders are walking in and getting low-balled for their ounces (Like $85 an ounce) REGARDLESS if it was grown/cared for/aged... That's RECOCKULOUS!
Law states that we are allowed to sell to recoup our losses. WTF? We growers can show/describe our growing environment and state all aspects of our grow, proving that we have a superior product that is NEVER seen in dispensaries! Next time you go to a Dispensary, ask them how long any particular bud was aged...
But if we sell a premium bud to THEIR customers for $25/8th to $200/ounce, WE'RE the bad guys?!? I hear all the time that a particular Dispensary is offering a Kush for $250 an ounce, and like WILDFIRE, everyone races to that location to go and buy their shit. WTF?!?
I'm supposed to feel bad that I'm hurting the market by selling my only ounce of Premium Green Crack that has been grown all organic and been dried/cured/aged for two months, for $200 an ounce?!? Kiss my black and white ass!
Thanks for letting me vent, I needed that!
Got some Trainwreck last night at House of Kush and when I got it home it was spongy and still wet. YAAAAA!
Peace
Hopefully I didn't piss too many people off with that rant. Had to get it out.
