Sooo tastey growmaster! Beautiful pics!
Hmmm... I highly doubt this. If ken's cut was the original purple cut then he would know the heritage of the plant. He would be the one who made the cross and the origins of purple wouldn't be a mystery. While ken's cut is argueably the best cut by no means do I think it's the original.
Now I have heard that the original purple strains in Cali are in fact purple phenos of lavender by Soma seeds. I've never grown his lavender but it's not a far fetched theory. Some pics of lavender look strikingly similar to the ones above. Also I forget where but I read a post by soma that hinted that his genetics where all over Cali. Who knows... Maybe someone on here has grown both the clones from Cali and the seeds from soma, do they resemble each other at all?
kens is the original...
hello, wow i have never even seen pot that looks like this,i am a very new grower,so any tips you could hand down that would be so kool.
i have the kens and the urkle side by side and they are very very similar just the kens is bulkier and yields much better.. the urkle stays close knit and short and bushy.. kens is about the same just a step up in size and vigor.. the urkle is fire.. but yields very low.. tight dense buds that are sticky like super glue and very very stinky.. kens is the same except yields more, and a slight variation in the smell/flavor.. i prefer the kens personally.. every single bud is tight and dense.. even the small ones at the bottom. the ken's gdp is a strain i sought for many years..
anyone have some pic of ken's gdp in veg? do the leaves in veg grow out some thin and some normal.. what i mean is.. in the early stages of veg do the leaves grow out non serrated and kinda fatter than later stage in veg where the leaves grow out sort of sativaish and with crazy altering serrated edges?
