It's been a very busy day for me today, well, yesterday. I'm just now getting to where I can go to bed. @dire wolf , remind me to tell you about schisandra berries. I just learned about them doing some research for a reiki client's health. Turns out, it will help me immensely and just about everyone else, it's an adaptogen.

Another long day, only because I didn't end up going to sleep when I said I was. Haha! i'm helping my sis in law in Glasgow remotely and it's been a while since I've kept odd hours.

On top of feeding my brain research, at least I know as of today, all of my neurons are firing appropriately. Also, my budget isn't going to allow for 3 gal pots right now and I'm contemplating just putting them in 5s. What do y'all think?

When I topped the plants, I put the cuttings in a glass of water, guess who is rooting? I think I may have mentioned that before.

Light is on the way. Will be delivered Monday.

Here's today's pictures. Nothing much to report other than I'm almost positive my tallest SSSD is male and I think the second tallest is, too.

Hope all of y'all have had a great day today.

Hey K , yea go for it , the 5 gal pots , you can always fill them 3/4 up if they seem big ,i would do it soon so you can get root mass going ..

You could also just go straight to flower now in your one gal bags , people do it all the time...maybe smaller yield , but you can get going instead of waiting amother 10 ? Days...

Probably the male sssd rooted , the males are more agressive in every way , if you environment is root friendly , you might want to make one or two cuts of everything , label carefully and try the cup of water clone...

But dont get lazy with the water method , make some rooted clones in coco or plugs if you can , also try oldskool method , but the plugs or coco might be easier...
Put your clone in coco now if it has roots...

Plants look great , cant wait to see em flower

Going to bed now catch you later
If you want a good laugh read the post "" stripped all the leaves off my plant """

I offered advice but bailed out early , it was crazy this afternoon.....

If you can fit it , 5 gal will give you huge yield....

Wanna get more stressed, enter my mini me clone competition , ill guide you thru it....

I added a pinch of cal mag. Are they looking deficient to you? My eyes are tired so I'm not seeing so well. Epsom salt mist I haven't tried. I just made a note for myself to look for epsom salt. I have a bag somewhere, I think. Ha! It's pretty cheap stuff, so I can manage that.

I'll replant tomorrow. I did see that post you are referencing. I think I glanced at it in shock and passed out asleep. Hahaha! I'll have to go back and look at what the reasoning behind it was as I think I missed that part when you asked. Poor guy.

See pics below. I swear I thought I took better pictures.

@dire wolf Also, if you are referring to the yellow looking color (RE: Epsom/calmag), it's the light in that specific corner of the tent. It doesn't really look that yellow off camera. I've still got the Bloomspect light going and it throws that color for some reason in that area. Next time, I'll turn it off. However, new light arrives Monday.

I will check in with clones tomorrow. I'm so tired I can't even think straight. Peace!

Did I read somewhere that they should be in darkness for 24 hours before flipping?

I've always done monthly harvests so I've never done the dark thing at beginning or ending in all honesty & I've never noticed a difference. I've also never bothered to flush at end either &I've been fine with it. Then again I love that chemical gas type flavor but nobody else ever complained, they all wanted a piece of her haha

Bottom line is they are generally very adaptive & will be ok no matter which minor theories are variated (is that a word? I know what I mean lol), each plant has it's own personality but they all want to thrive

Hey k , yea the lights , i ask everyone who posts a pic to present it in a clean white daylight or clip on flouro bulb , not so much in your case because im so familiar that i can already read the plants ,,,, but
Yellowing can come on out ov no where , and your pic confuses me sometime , if i dont see them for a few days , so try a reg white light bulb or camera flash if you can,,,,

The look fine anyway , cal / mag is easy to overdose causing more leaf problems .... so easy is best anyway...

Some plants are finicky like your sd hybrid , any way the wind blows , one stretch perfect , next day purple or yellowing , 3 days late back to perfect again.. deff do not even wory about fixing anything now , they are really growing well and doing what i like best , just running the race to the end nice and steady , its when one slows down or gets defeciencies and needs to recover once flipped thats where you can get a little messed up ....

You just want to pull the starting gun trigger and watch them go to finish without any pause....

As far as transplant , im superstisious , i like the roots to grow a week into their new home , get other opinions on that , maybe totally different in coco

My reasoning is that the plant focuses on different tasks at different times , using different nutrients to accomplish the task , leaf , root , nitrogen , stem , flowering utilizes phosphorus ...and the energy now goes into bud making , not so much root developement, so i like to make the feet nice and comfy before i flip,
But no harm , will work either way.......

You always say things like " they arent happy today " or didnt like what i did to them today - so if i had to predict your life saving instincts , youll prob be like me and let them settle in bed before physical therapy starts

But everybody does it there way and you have to learn for yourself like everything else.....

There is going to be a small time adjustment concerining pollen collection , you will have to get thinking about that fast when you flip your lights , a plan
You can just pollinate the room, and let them do thieir thing ( im against that ) but its not my grow , its yours , so i can just make suggestions...

A suggestion can be , identify your female regular plannts - i think the gelato is reg ?
So you will use the gelato to make seed with his pollen , or recieve pollen if female

Take one -2 male sssd male pollen bearing plants , , keep them seperate ( not really necessary ) but they will make different genetics , take your left over sssd females and decide if you want to pollinate the entire plant ? I wouldent , or just pollinatd half or 1/4 of the plant...by dusting pollen on the 3 week old pistils....

You can use a good fine 1/4 or 1/8 inch brush , or even finer , or q tip to apply pollen ...

You will need to catch the pollen when male sacs open , use glass , tin foil , or parchment paper to collect or store the pollen , collect it in another room , and dont tie the plants down or secure them where you cant move them freely

If pollen sacs open when you disturb the plants by rocking or pushing them , the delicate flower will open and if your fan is on .....then everything is going to get seeded , probably even your neighbors grow down the road,

So the idea is timing is a little tricky , you either want to collect the pollen as it happens and store it , or you want to start your males a few days to a week later to begin flower stage , the males will develope faster than the females during the pollination , so you have to time it right,,,,,

If all this is giving you a headache , then just let mother nature take take iits course....

Ps i dont do the dark before flip or any other extra dark things at harvest....

I would say a week or 2 also.... in most causes BUT

if they get into pots today/now...... they have 4 days that should do I would think....... I don't do coco though..... but 4 days and then a light change...

it would be easy to hit them with the time change too......

Other wise it's going to be 2 more weeks by the time she gets the lights set and working and the plants set to them also......

she can use the extra time if she wants it.....
BUT she also Needs Flower to use I'm sure..... and were still talking 10 weeks plus now....... so I'm just thinking IfI was her and I was 13 weeks ago, I would Flip ASAP

Just my 2 cents worth......

Not trying to step on any one toe's here .... Just saying what I would do......

I agree with bass in this case....

Also if you are making seeds , it might not be necressary to take clones
I suggested makiiing clones earlier in the thread , becsuse i didnt know you would be starting a seed grow....

You will have unlimited resources for new plants when you have hiundreds of seeds ,,,,,
