I feel like one of those old folks that refused to go to electric lights because they felt that gas & candles were safer. I see others doing it but like my mother said to me " If everyone else jumped off the bridge would you jump too?" .....Funny how my parents made me paranoid about doing something everyone else was doing.......I'm not jumping off no bridge mom....lolI'm not sure how much good the total strip does for the plant but seen it done on DB's grow and they recovered fast and did ok afterwards and so did mine.
What I do believe is that de-foliating, so that the big fan leaves are not blocking precious light from the bud sites is a plus for the plant.
That is what I will do next and I think it will make for more and bigger, better buds in the end.
Now, if I can stay the course and not mess up the last part of this grow, I will be confident in the next one. As long as there are no darn seeds please.
I am seeing a major difference in bud size.
Seems the AP plants are getting bigger buds and more of em.
Maybe it's the constant feed but whatever it is I am loving it.
When I checked in on them this morning I took notice of the AP plants and the size
of the buds on them. So much bigger.
One other dif is the pot size, AP 3.5 gal, Cloth Pots 2 gal
I took some pic's but not sure you can see the dif but I can tell you it is amazing.
Yes they are closer to the light so higher lux, so could be a combo of things.
This is sorta an alternate way of growing but comparible to the cubes DB was using with great success.
If these turn out half as good I will be a happy camper.
First the AP pic's

Its been so dry here, inside humidity has only been around 30% ...I have the door on the tent open until the controller for my exhaust fan comes in ( Monday now should have been here with the fan Friday )a cheap one $33 Vivosun 4" inline amzon warehouse deals in a damaged box, it doesn't have one with it and @ full speed she'd suck the plants out of the tent. Things is changing though 50% this morning. I'll soon have to have my dehue on.......I did pull a few off to let the light shine through....When the RH is off the deep end in your new tent...we'll see about the defoliation. The water is fine, it's only a short jump...hahah

I have the tent in my flower room anyways so goes on and off with the same timer as my other light in there. It's all blacked out from my vegging lights ...doubly now in the tent.
This is a first for me doing the AP grow with only 2 of 4 pots I have.Looks fantastic...I used the AP's for a grow...does not suit my growing style at all...have a whole 4 pot system I need to sell as I went DTW and I'm not looking back.
This is a first for me doing the AP grow with only 2 of 4 pots I have.
I want to do a DTW just not ready to jump into that yet. I did get real excited watching Dirtbags grow.
By next winter maybe I will have the nerve to do that or maybe use the Auto Pots for a automated top feed system.
But I love the simplicity of rockwool style grow, it's the timer's and stuff that get me nervous and I don't have enough room.
I like DB's grow as well but he has more skills than meets the eye. What looked easy to him I see dead & wilted to me He could grow in a beer can with a fridge light and out do me I'm sure. I'm just saying...This is a first for me doing the AP grow with only 2 of 4 pots I have.

Hey,Looking good It's nice to see you're using the second hand stuff, much easier on the pocket. That's quite the humidifier too, I've never seen one with the tube like that. Are you getting steam out of the other end? I don't think my humidifiers would push the steam that far up the pipe. This is the steamer I got
But does not increase hummy much
Still it saves me from filling 3 times a day to only once.
Hummy in the 37-40° range almost the same.
It will have to do, I don't want to run 2 of em so it is what it is.
Got plenty steam might have to turn off exhaust fan it’s as low as it goes now.Hey,Looking good It's nice to see you're using the second hand stuff, much easier on the pocket. I'm now having the opposite issue with too much humidity in my tent..I pulled a bunch of leaves off and added a heater. I've only been able to get my tent up to 73f. I took the ballast off and put it outside the tent. It looks like I'm going to have to put it back on and back in the tent to warm it up more. it's always something.
Ya, it looks like its made for your needs with that long pipe.Got plenty steam might have to turn off exhaust fan it’s as low as it goes now.
Let the intake push out the exhaust maybe that will get it over 39%
Won't let me upload a pic dam lol but there are 4 lvls of steam the last one is "Turbo" lol
Been there done that lol I was vacing out a duct from the dryer yesterday so had an extra shop vac hose and it's real long too.Ya, it looks like its made for your needs with that long pipe.
A bit off the subject but I bought a small portable vacuum. I had a light plastic hose 20ft long 2" dia that fit perfectly into the vac's port. I thought great I'll use it for the car. I attached the hose and turned it on. You should have heard the squeal, a high pitched piercing animal scaring loud scream coming out of this machine & no suction.
I shut it off thinking it was fked but I unplugged the hose and tried again it worked, a 5ft piece of hose is now attached and it works great. I thought you might have the same effect without noise if you pushed the steam higher than it designed.
I'm a bit surprised you're still having low rh levels...We've gone up a lot here now @ 77% outside. I only need Humidity in my veg closet to keep it at 65%. I don't have a problem with it now that I have about a dozen 3 -3gal & 9 - 1 gal/ fabric pots all watered &/ or fed today. That keeps the rh up in its self.
Looks like that droopy girl in the rear has perked right up! Lookin good in there !Wifey went to do taxes, I'm bored lol
4 Weeks since the flip to 12/12
This run I used 2 gal cloth bags on 5 of my plants with the exception
of one plastic 2.5 gal pot and of course the two Auto Pot's
The AP's are out doing the rest by far.
I usually use 5 gal cloth pots but the space in this 4x4 did not allow it for 8 plants.
I up'ed the feed for all to 1000 PPM
I will probably go to 1200 in the coming weeks, if I see no burn.
I use Dyna Gro Products but will use KoolBloom (2-45-28) for a couple or so feeds in the coming weeks ahead.
Not sure if I will use it in the AP,s.
I also use ReCharge but 1/8 tsp. not the recomended 1/2 tsp. and only every 3rd feed.
No ReCharge in the AP's because of the chance of sticky valves that cause flooding.
Also use Drip Clean .4 ml per gal. only in the AP's
I will also be using Flawless Finish for all, I think .
Right now I feed them this mix, I added in the NPK amt as they are important.
2 tsp Bloom (I add more when necessary)(3-12-6)
1 tsp Foliage Pro (I add more when necessary)(9-3-6)
1/2 tsp Zyme
1/2 tsp Mag Pro (Every other feed)(2-15-4)
1/8 tsp ReCharge (Every 3rd feed)
This is all per gallon of course
I try to keep the PH to 6.5-6.7 as long as it's under 7 and not below 6
The AP's are a dif PH at 5.5-5.7 cause it's recomended in the instructions.
Lux is 31k at the low end (uneven canopy) and 65k at the top end.
I wish I had a more even canopy but I'm to lazy and old to mess around,
scrunched up, bending over, with crippling pain to rearrange the crates Again!
F it!
Da Clones I'm glad they are doing so well maybe I will use them in the Green House later this spring.

This is a very constricted space. (The tarp over the top is for any unforseen light leaks around zippers an stuff)
