I looked into that. It seems like you would need sensors and stuff. But then again so does my Centinal Chhc4. Supposedly yo can controll it from a PC but I have not hooked it up.
I fully like and want a automated grow room. I really like to be lazy. Back in the early 90's my science teacher from hi school was a grower. He was great friends with my brother. When I went to his room it was like something out of a lab. He didnt have to do a damn thing except raise lights if needed. Built his own fertigation system from hospital devices.

The hardware is no problem, but if custom drivers had to be written, that would suck. Also, am I locked into NI cards? I've used LV a lot, but maybe this is overkill. Then again, if setup properly, I would have a fully automated setup customized specifically for me.

However, if your gonna have to program for LV, maybe it would be best to make a generic module with adjustable parameters instead. In other words, more research for now...sigh...
