I just received the following email from ASA. If you can not afford the event, PM me, and I'll tell you how to attend for no charge.

It’s here! Americans for Safe Access’ Activist Boot Camp will be happening across the country on February 19th & 20th, from 10:00am - 5:00 pm each day, bringing together medical cannabis patients and advocates and creating a unified National Call to Action.

The National Call to Action is the nation's first medical cannabis virtual skill-building conference. ASA is hosting this conference virtually to better reach the thousands and thousands of patients and activists who need our trainings - we know that in these tough economic times we'll train with more breadth and depth if we're able to bring ASA to the masses, rather than the masses to ASA.

Registration is now up and running online, so don’t wait to grab your spot! ASA chapters and allied organizations will be hosting events in several cities – so visit to find the one nearest you.

In Colorado, there will be events in:

Colorado Springs @ 315 Costilla St., Colorado Springs, CO 80903
Denver @ 4305 Brighton Blvd., Denver, CO 80216
Federal Heights @ 2380 W. 90th Ave., Federal Heights, CO 80260
Fort Collins @ 201 Peterson Street Fort Collins, CO 80524
Salida, @ 840 Oak St., Salida, CO 81201
Telluride @ 300 W. Colorado Ave., 2C Telluride, CO 81435

If you do not see your city listed and are unable to attend any of the other events, you have two options. You can either contact Amber Langston ([email protected]) about organizing your own local Boot Camp, or you can choose "Individual" in the drop-down registration menu - and we will send you the DVD and accompanying materials to view in your own home.

Also, please add us to your Facebook Events and invite your friends! ()

Thanks for your work in supporting patients' rights to safe access!

Here's a $0.05 trick.

When corresponding with a Legislator, add a confidentiality clause on your email... like this..

CONFIDENTIAL -- This message and any enclosures are intended only for the person to whom it is addressed. Do not forward this message without the express consent of the sender. If you are not the intended recipient, please do not copy, disseminate or distribute this message. If you received this message in error, please immediately notify the sender and delete this message.

If you do this, your email is not part of the public record, in Colorado.

From the Denver Post 2/11/11 by John Ingold
"A number of activists used the hearing as an opportunity to express concerns about issues not addressed in the bill.

They criticized a different bill filed this week at the Capitol that would ban the sale of marijuana-enhanced food and drinks, a major industry niche in Colorado. They blasted proposed Department of Revenue regulations that would require all medical-marijuana transactions at dispensaries to be videotaped."

Help prevent this from happening again. Attend this ASA seminar.

The Denver 4800 Brighton location has been consolidated into just the Federal Heights location.

If you can not afford the event, PM me, I know the organizer for this event, and I will make sure you get in for free.

PLEASE tell your friends about this event... pass the word, and save the ammunition.

So we can get the info even if we can't attend? I would love to learn more about this, but won't be able to make the boot camp ...

Mel - Thanks for your interest. You can get the entire training session on DVD. Just goto the weblink

Under the "Register Now" bar choose "Individual", and they will send you out the DVD, and materials that go with the event. This costs $75.

People who attend can also get the DVD, after the event if they ask ASA for it, for free.

PM me for the secret password if you want to get in at the Colorado Springs location for free. The Salida location is canceled due to lack on interest.

I was just going over the workbook for this seminar, its 300 pages, and represents S. Sherer's (ASA Exec. Dir.) total body of knowledge.

Needless to say its a pretty impressive manual on how to be an advocate.
