Dean,

What does the underside of the leaf look like?

Zill.

I have seen this a number of times before. I have no idea what it is, but some on ~the internet~ [eeeek!] say it's a virus, like TMV. I have noticed that it doesn't seem to have any effect on plant growth, yield or potency.

If it is a virus, maybe you have to keep a mother plant for a bit of time before you see ill effects, but I wouldn't worry about this.

It's not it's happened to me a few times and it just goes away. Definitely Variegation.

and seeing as i'm here, going to have a power outage next week for 1-2 hours. it's happening at 14 hours of light then i'll have 4 more hours of light before bedtime for the girls
i can't open the door to let light in because of the outside temps, can i just put a led flashlight in so it doesn't get dark?
or will the lights on/off/on not bother them?

Looks like they're in flower. Are they autos? Regardless, sounds like you're on 18 hours of light. The dark period shouldn't be a problem, if that is the case.

With photos, you don't want the dark period interrupted with light, for any reason. Interrupting the light period doesn't matter.
