In my opinion the only way to go are COBS or Quantum LED panels.

Cree, Luminus COBS or HLG Quantum.

That Fatty-CS destroys a 1k HPS. When I purchased from Timber Dan was comparing the Redwood-VS to a 1k HPS and let me say that the Redwoods kill it.I was running 600watt HPS before and there is just no comparison to the yields I'm getting now after only two runs.Big fan of Timber and COB's.

What are you trying to do? Big space or small? Single 1000w de replacement or 3 or 4 ?

COBs are actually falling behind in technology to LED strips. They run cooler can be placed closer to your canopy and have a greater coverage area (think of a 4 foot strip 3-6" a part all the way across your canopy versus 6-12 COBs with hot spots.

Isn't a bad look. This is my led strip build. 20x bridgelux eb2 44" strips connected to a hlg600 running at a peak of 0.7 amps. Running around 550ish watts before power losses of 120v

In parts? 550$ add $150-300 if you want proper heat sinks and maybe $50 or $100 to use 1" c channel. I used none it doesnt get hot enough to need them for what I'm doing. Mine was actually about $650.00 ordered but what I ended up using would be only been $550.

So for 44 strips you'd be running probably $1100-1500 and that would make for a pretty amazing 5x5 or probably even a really need 4x8 or 5x8. 5x8 would be stretching it a bit but honestly just set get slightly higher amp drivers and throw on some c channel aluminum "heat sinks".

Also if you're getting 44 strips goto digi key. They have discounts for larger orders sometimes as low as 20 or 40 units :)

I built my setup myself without a kit though. Super straight forward... theres also places like I linked that build them for you :)

Edit: also I'm running the MINIMUM drive current you can run these 44" strips at, I did this so I could avoid buying the heat sinks in my particular case and have the most efficient setup I could
