Affordable is T5 fluorescent.....Much easier to use and great growth from the full spectrum T5 lamps....Plants won't burn until they touch the lamp...not so with led. I've 3 led lights 2 SE3000 an SF1000 plus a 1000w hps I still prefer vegging under the T5's. I recently added another 2 tube fixture $43 Cdn Amzon delivered.

T5’s work just fine but here is a LED propagation light. I have two of these.

HLG Propagator

Lamp is designed for greens, clones,. This lamp uses 132pcs Samsung LM301B LED in 4000K spectrum. Equivalent to 80W T5. Passive cooled 4ft length provides a wide spread. Ideal for cloning over a 4-foot area

I need the heat from the fluorescent, the led's don't provide enough heat. Even now with outside temps in the mid 70's f its only 68f in my basement grow area without added heat from the lights the plants don't go through water and stall in cold weather....EyeHortilux has a line of colored lights to mix up the spectrum's. I use the blue & full spectrum white fluorescent with red leds I can't see me changing to led only.

A seedling heat mat might help with that too.

With seedlings yes but with bigger plants they want 78f - 80f not 68f -70f and a heat mat

As @PipeCarver said, that light will keep your plants alive, but that's it. If you're still in the 30 day return window, send it back. On their reason for return menu, Amazon should
have "product is a piece of crap" for you to check off. Skimp on something else in life if possible. Beer, cigarettes, massage parlors etcetera, not your light. Good luck and good growing..

Probably more like 2-3 weeks. Anymore than that, you might look at 65w hlg.

I veg under those two propagation lights until I transplant from solo cup to a 1g pot. That’s about 3 - 4 weeks depending on the plant. From there they go in to my tent to veg a couple more weeks under a HLG 300L. Off to flower room after that.

I have a HLG 100 V2 4000K in each of my tents I keep hung up high in the tent and bring them down when needed when seeds sprout and use them for 2 to 3 weeks transplant then put the bigger HLG's on the job. How the setup looks except there are two 350R's in the 2x4 now. Plants were two weeks out from sprout in the first pic. Had just been transplanted out of solo cups. Second pic 3 weeks from flip on the dually 350R setup. Thats how I do it now days.

My favorite veg lights are these: https://www.amazon.com/Barrina-Inte...shop/dp/B07G2Q4VZN?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1

You won't need all 6. These lights are heavy in blue light which causes a plant to grow short and stout. I've tried quantum boards and other lights ... and for me these work the best.

It's only 669 watts total between the two fixtures.... 700 watts would be over kill!

Damn, I thought 330 in my 2 x 4 was a lot. Why so much light? I'm wondering how you don't fry the plants? Co2?
