Weird the top picture looks like it has male flowers. The middle pic I see none.
The bottom pic is weird it doesn’t look like male pollen sacks more like swollen clax but it’s to young to have swollen clax so my only other choice would be they seed pods & it herm’d early in life

Weird one wonder what others say about the bottom pic

Ok was unsure on best course of action ended up taking off all sus looking growth. Wasnt sure if it might be worth letting it seed but if genetics are in question seeds may be no good. Still developing some buds but looking a bit light on.

Sad to see that happen to you

Good luck next time

The one photo with your finger in it. That looks like a mix of female calyxes and male pollen sacs occupying the same top. The sacs are the smooth round things and the fuzzy looking ones are the calyxes. That might be a true hermaphrodite, not just a stress response.

It happens. Even with stabilized lines. But with a double fail (not an auto and then full blown herm), I would think whoever you got that seed from would replace it with one that hopefully perfoms like it's supposed to.

And if those are doing stellar, then you can just write that one off as "shit happens."

Man thats some really junky ruderalis hemp hybrid genetics. In your first post, third pic, pull off the swollen calyx and disect it and post the pictures. Or any of the wierd calyx parts. Maybe its a seed forming, maybe not, maybe its just swollen up.

What people aren't talking about is the increasing amount of the hermaphroditic problem, part of which is male pollen sacks forming inside a female calyx which is a particularly annoying problem because its harder to detetct with visual inspection.

Hermaphroditism we have seen relatively recently isn't as straight as having a perfectly formed female organ and a perfectly formed male organ at the same flower/anther site. They can be blended together in several ways, like an outer part looking like a calyx but inside male pollen sacks, nanners. Or other hard-to-identify-whats-happening formed parts that are neither fully female or fully female sex organs. That seems like what these photos may be showing.

Next I am just going to throw out some thoughts and I'm not trying to prove any point but toss out some stuff to get people thinking. Maybe some banter and attention to the subject will result in something, maybe someone will aim higher in their genetic choices and avoid a lost harvest. That's worth it. So lets stir up some hermaphrodite thoughts and banter. And also see if that gives any traction to the thread.

Y'all need to aim higher in your genetics because good breeding practices and proper selection just aren't being done the way it should be for some decades now by your popular suppliers... and this is the result. The result of the race to the bottom. The cheapest seed at the highest price you will tolerate sold on pure hype. Disrespectful to the growers. And the majority of growers funded that and still are funding that.

Think about it from the common sense angle. Plants that are likely to go hermaphroditic when stressed with chemicals are used to produce offspring. Offspring like themselves which became successful for their tendency to resort to hermaphroditism to survive. Because regular seeds aren't very readily available by popular sources mostly, (because that could make people self reliant by making their own seeds like people have done for millenia, and end the greedy payment cycle trap by the supplier) this inevitably will make desperate and dumb people to use these genetics which are unfit for further breeding, for breeding and they do. Passing on the hermaphroditic tendency. Add that to mass producers getting hermaphroditic plants and instead of taking the loss, and doing the right thing... they sell it anyway. It gets spread around other places use those junk and the problem of hermaphroditism increases more and more. Just like we have seen over the last decades. Just like we see increasing amounts of hermaphroditic reports in various forums.

Or consider the morphic field theory potential. Whipe out all the males and the females sense they have no access to their partner half that makes them whole, and what is the choice for cannabis? To make pollen and to try to achieve the natural balance nature and natural reproduction needs to continue survival of the species. Where is the pollen for seeds going to come from? The females have to make it, and they will no longer be true females. Slaughter enough males and the morphic field responds by not giving you males OR females for healthy and balanced natural reproduction, but a mixed disaster in response to the distaster humans are putting onto cannabis. Its revolting against human stupidity in an attempt to get you to stop screwing it up sexually. Morphic field is a thoery I know, but its an angle to think about for some. Just thought I would put it out there.

I can't speak for everyone but I'm tired of seeing growers new and old being disrespected by the absolute garbage thats been pumped out from the popular suppliers. People that they generally have successful grows, can go from seed to harvest, do the same thing they always do, and bam, herm city and the harvest is screwed. Its time to wake up from the marketing hype trance.

Now go nuts!
or rather... go bananas!

I dont see any clear evidence of hermaphroditism. I would disect one calyx and see if its got an immature seed inside, nanners, or just a swollen up calyx.

As for when to harvest, you have to take in the entire picture of whats going on with the plant. Has the plants flower formation slowed a lot? Is there senescence on the leaves? What are the trichomes looking like?

Yes i have watched a lot of this content and other pictures, still not clear cut to me. Have a loupe for inspection. Seems buds on the plant develop at different times, i suppose no different to growing any other fruit or vegetable where fruit ripen at different times??

Yeah, pretty much the normal plant thing. Mixing it up gives them the better survival chance for the offspring. I often see the plants ripen from the top down if there is not that flat even canopy. Lower areas get less light and develop slower. You can try a 'progressive harvest' where you take the parts that are ready and leave the rest to mature or fully ripen. There are likely some write ups on this. That could work well in your situation. Its up to you.

Ok thanks appreciate

Congrats on making it to the finish line. Are you shutting down for the hotter summer months? Or do you have a cooling set up and ready to start more seeds to grow?

I have different seeds just coming up to winter. Have ammnesia haze auto outdoor looking good stubby but spread thicker denser buds more what i would expect have to watch for heavy dew. I want that lime out to try some hopefully better seed , The silver lime had some hot days no doubt only fan.
