Was celebrating 2 weeks with this Bourbon Berry last night, was so pumped spying its 3rd set of tiny leaves starting. Woke up this morning, early, to browning and chewed leaves. Damn. Upon some review I was able to identify the problem. My cherry tomatoes had aphids on them and I had set my baby next to them. The next hour was kind of a blur of neem oil ,swearing and engineered controls. When the Diatomaceous Earth dust finally settled, aphid genocide in full swing and and a very delicate aloe application to the sick leaves, now she is under the Dome. It will be touch and go for a bit but I’m confident she’ll recover, hopefully not too stunted. I also included a short video of my organic fertilizer bubbler out gassing directly to the dome. The plant loves all the Co2. It’s as if it was meant to be. Be good folks, I’ll update in a bit

have you got any more seeds? personally i would start again , if they get abused at that point it can affect them through the grow...you dont have to throw it away , keep it as a spare. ive got three 'spares' which just didnt take off due to cold soil...

I have back ups and they have back ups. My plan is to see this one through. It may end up as bonsai center piece on Labor Day weekend festivities, we’re just gonna stay the course and ride it out!

one of my back ups recently started growing so ive dug her up and gave her own pot and some nice soil. This year ive gone back to living soil, microbe teas , and organic nutrients and everything is thriving....im starting to wonder if a lot of my problems over the last 2 years have been due to tryng to grow in coco? (but treating it like soil)
ive lost 2 grows right at the end of flower to some sort of lock out, salt or nutrient build up? im just thinking out loud here.

Can we see your lock out during dying phase plants? Can you give us some deets and digits on the whole thing? I have a new thing to be afraid of
I've also heard that some insects, if they are more living in the soil than on the plant, can't get in and out of the soil layer if you put a neutral material sponge like this with a channel cut in the side and a hole for the stalk. The bugs get lost and die trapped in the sponge mat.

I often time wonder if that’s due to all the energy being used at the flower and the green and root need some molasses water and a pinch of epsom salt fed in the dish instead of though the soil from above one a week during that phase

I didnt take any pics of the dead plants, they basically dry out quickly leaves go yellow/brown curl up. i wasted one summer just trying to get seedlings going and that was overwatering, then i went indoors and gave my next grow just too much 'stuff', nutrients, calmag, microbe tea, (which i think is pointless in coco) . then on my next one i gave too much PK14/15 towards the end and misinterpreted it as light burn. then i got led light burn ,(pic) and thought it was cal mag deficient. then i had a coco grow which was going well and i added a few inches of new coco to the tub, so the next 2 waterings just soaked into the top layer and the roots dried out ...lock out. The other thing to remember is that plants will grow through stages , so once they put some leaves out they will concentrate on root development for a week , so from above it looks like its stopped, it pauses again at flower and half way through flower, thats when i would panic and start adding stuff and overloading it.

A lot, and I mean a lot, of people make a mistake of treating Coco like soil! And vice versa!

'Cuse suburbs. You probably go to Sterling then, I've camped 22 years there. I get some ounces at Flynnstoned either shop (not rochester) from time to time. Went to Oswego state for one very useless semester.
