Lollipops - vegetable glycerine vs vegetable oil

I generally just use vegetable oil as the base for all my edibles .. but Im keen to make lollipops and the recipe is calling for alcohol or glycerine tincture.

My question is >> can I substitute a vegetable oil tintincture for the vegetable glycerine tincture ? TIA

I'm not sure, but alcohol dissolves in water and oils do not, so that may make a difference. We're pondering your question here and our first thoughts had to do with emulsification. So, our thinking is that vegetable oil might not mix well for that recipe. That's only a guess, though.

I think your right there .. google is telling me vegetable glycerine in water soluble
