Adrenaline rushes on stage. Sometimes you even have to keep notes of your own material's order and repetition. Its most important on the tracks you love the most honestly because of how intense your own experience of your performance is. Especially when theres an emotional load attached to your expression of the music.

Most artists today keep an ipad or laptop somehwere on the stage. One of the things usually on that screen outside DAW stuffs, is lyrics, and verse/chorus order. and theres software that highlights where you are like an old sing along tape lol.

Its all just to deliver the best possible performances reliably.

Then theres flow state. Performing music in a flow state is a far cry from the experience most non musicians imagine it to be. For most musicians at a truly skilled level, it's one of the most emotionally powerful and visceral experience its possible to have within a mind experiencing a body. It's very easy to lose track of a lot more then just where you are in the performance. SOmetimes ill get into these flow spaces where i have zero conscious connection whatsoever to the performance beyond simply knowing where it goes next. In those states you have to keep an aid to remind you what comes next, because thats your only single responsibility in that state, the performance happens on it's own, but you have to keep track of where it goes from where you are now, and because personal responsibility diminishes dramatically in flow state like that it becomes incredibly easy to loose track of your place in a piece, as if you were the listener, not the performer.

Oh yea i know thats prob what he was doing, i just didnt investigate further, and it put my mind on to something else to ramble about. that whole thing was def impromptu lol. The drummer def knew the groove of the song but not how to actually play it lol.

Its one of my all time favorites but i probably couldnt nail the lyrics all the way even with the song playing besides the chorus lol. Puddles is def a Dio fan though, he even nailed the MMMMhmmm and the mmmyea at the start lol.

i dont usually take notes either though lol. Unless my journal here counts. They're done when theyre done. But when someone tells me a seed is "done in x days inside" im also just kinda like: "Que Paso?" lol.

If you tell me a plant isnt done before 65 days inside, gimme a DWC bucket and ill harvest ripe flower in 56 days. Or give me a living super soil and itll be done in 75. Put it outside and it might be done before a plant that takes 2 weeks longer inside

Biggs is always done before the peaceblaster cross inside back in kc. Always. Outside it was the opposite. Always. This year is def no exception to that either looks like. My slowest PB pheno is still ahead the fastest biggs pheno out there, and while getting more direct exposure too. imho theyre done when theyre done so i really dont count or take notes or anything like that at all. I dont keep track of my feeding schedule either, i just watch the plants and get to know each one on a pretty personal level lol. And when your plants are used to shit not always being the same environmentally, shit not being the same all the time tends not to bug em much ime.

Yep haha I keep notes for when I rerun clones, I tend to be able to push the clones 15-25% more neuts than the seed plant, so I keep what I did each run to see how hard I pushed them etc,

most of my plants run 60-75 days indoors

So, TOGYK, I'd like your opinion on something.

My 2 gardens, the 12 and the extras.
The 12 got planted May 10, extras got planted May 23.
The 12 got more, extras got less. (ferts, recharge, etc.)
The 12 appear to have started flowering before the extras.

Reason I say that is, the 12 developed bud rot (3 days of rain) near the top of the plant. Then we had dry weather and the rot dried up.
The extras do not show any signs they had it. The extras are the same varieties as the 12.

How can this be, what am I missing?

Something as simple as how far the plant shoots the leaves out from the cola and how serrated the margins are can adversely affect a plants willingess to drain vs pool water, and spores too as a result. And same varieties doesnt always mean same phenotypes, even if they look very similar.

Plants that drain water well are almost helped by heavy rains and stuff too. It does more washing them out then it does pooling up spores.

How close plants are together can definitely alter things like node spacing and leaf stem length.

It wouldnt happen to be warmer in the sun near those solar panels would it? Could def be just them not being as densely stacked in the flowers letting rain drain more then pool up.

Im just throwin darts at the board without being there to investigate. Thats a tricky one lol.

oh i thought the bud rot not differences in flowering time was the concern lol.

well if theyre fed less, theyll probably stretch to flower more or less at the same time, but it wont be as dramatic, and the flowers themselves will come along smaller and what appears more slowly if i guessed. Theyll probably still ripen at the same time if on the same more or less photoperiod. I also wouldnt be surprised if they finish with higher resin content smoke either, heads up. If theyve been hit by bugs harder then the main 12, and have had extra drought stress, theyll probably be higher resin content flowers for sure even if a lot less of it.. my little clones at the patch im just leaving to their own devices, bugs and all (all but the lemon pine ojbb clone), just getting a little patch runoff. those premie flowers are already more physically tough to the touch, as well as oilier then the big girls ever were at that point in development.

All of my plants started to stretch out at about the same time. But even at my patch theres no real logical explanation for how anything is flowering out after that beyond genetics lol.

Or if they stay in the evening sun a couple hours longer that may hold em back a little longer too. But seems pretty damn flat and open there.

PLants being given 5-7hrs direct vs 12hrs direct, will aslo actually start to stretch as the same time, but itll take longer to be noticeable on the plants being given more direct, and the plants being given less direct will also actively bud out a bit quicker once it starts and often finish sooner, just a little bit smaller.. But genetics will also greatly and adversely affect that too.

Im doing that "I dont know, so heres lots of information" thing again lmao.

im not too concerned with end yield on this tent run, just seeing the phenotype's expressions.

When i push plants hard with bottles i put together a dwc bucket lol. Because why not also get to the end result a month sooner from clone cut to flower harvested lol. When i do the dwc things though i keep razor tight track of every variable within my power to grasp at all times lol.

Oh yea, youre away from home often and for long periods right? Prob dont get into DWC too much, itll be a nightmare scenario for you.

throw a sativa like cali blues in dwc bucket, fuck man, flower that clones 6 weeks after she starts vegging and youll probably yield a half pound of flower in a week less flowering time then any other method of growing. They also shit and piss into the buckets, and ideally you have a recirculating resevoir, but youll be constantly amending it from the plant excretions, and thats different with every plant too. And they dont feed and drink at the same rates, constantly skewing the ph too lmao. And you cant grow more then one phenotype per reservoir. I mean, you can, but it'll be a major ass pain scenario the entire grow.

But shell also be drinking like 3/4 of a 5 gal bucket a day on into flower, and cali blues dont like to dry out (at least mine doesnt) hour in an empty bucket and youll have permanent physical damage and bananas out the ass most likely lmao. There is not a more fast paced method of growing cannabis. cheap and easy, but ya gotta be around constantly. Its very difficult to automate a dwc setup ime.

While i worked at NOAA i put the DWC away, and just ran living super soils so my roomate didnt have to know what to do when i asked him to water. I had a similar work schedule to yours at that point in time.

Stretch is winding down and budlets are just starting to stack. Gonna call flower officially underway.

For day 12. Things are looking rather smashing in the tent. I figured it was closer to day 14-18 tbh.

There's a couple tops on the left side that really need to calm their tits and chill out a bit.

The ladies are looking about as happy as cannabis can look.

We'll see how much I can harvest. Thinkin' about spraying them, but I don't want to get the flowers wet.

i guess my journal counts as notes, when i need to know a dat i just pop some keywords with a user filter in the search, so basically the same thing as flipping back into a notebook.

I def had notes though when i had like 20 little clones all in a single jiffy dome lmao.

I record everything and then do a final copy in another notebook that I use to reference. I also have a profile of every plant that finishes with traits and whatnot in there. Every watering, everything I notice, all that

most of the phenos i end up rolling with i keep around for a good while. As far as plant traits, pros and cons, just charachter in general most of that i really just catalogue in my head as i get to know each plant. But i also do tend to keep each individual specific plant around a lot longer then most. Ive kept some clones around for several years before.

i will probably catalogue my final thoughts on each individual phenotype i have in my journal towards wrapping the grow up after reading back through my journal. and use that as a cross-reference sheet to decide which pehnos im keeping around and why, which im gonna stear towards indoor growing which towards outdoor and why. So i can make some final pheno and breeding decisions without throwing any babies out with their bathwater that im sure ill notice one second too late. Ive made a couple posts in here already with lots of specific information i can find quickly and easily with a single search of a few simple keywords.

So yea, i definitely take notes, lots of notes, its just in an unconventional, lazy manner.

Some of the most brilliant people were unconventional, love the note taking . It really helps me choose what to regrow and why/how.
