Nice system- but I kept cringing everytime water splashed by the board,,, he had that bare board on wet table, He's a hardcore programmer and I got to admit he is doing some serious testing at his casa!AvidLerner
have you seen this Arduino controller "Self Optimizing Automated Arduino based Nutrient Doser Hydroponics"
Nice coding modular easy to read.AvidLerner

FatFri, I'm going to just release a little bit if secret guidence info cuz I'll piss off some ppl that have paid kindly for this code....I think the ph and ec probes are designed the wear out. Their both subject to electrolysis which causes oxidation of the probe. I think if you used a gold plated probe and set up in the link I gave you would never have to replace it.
Can you link the sensors your playing with?
Thanks
FF

YOU ARE CORRECT Sir ! Oxidation, grn groadies, Killer of sensors, especially PH and EC.... this puzzle me cuz I got code that stops grn groadies,,, I seen circuit boards changing polarities,, yes I got gold plated soil and tank sensor on sale next wk that Help slow grn groadies with soil senors, but 95% of electrodes get green groadies ( especially lite sensors, EC-PH) they'll come out of the box with wet with crystals on the electrodes. But many pro and hobby sensors need calibration or break and the software has no code to stop this, I see circuits and expensive stuff to try unsuccessfully to correct grn groadie repair but it can be done free in the code. Its not the senors or the circuits fault, its the software that repair this issue. Rare to see it .
electrolysis -
electrolysis goes further than corrosion around the sensor probe n the tank or soil. The plant is a solar panel from an elec guy pt of view, the problem is the whole dam plant organism, sloil organisims, on and on are under electrolysis. the little solar cells and containers have chloroplast , make a solar panel. photosythisis Energy from sunlight to produce sugar, which cellular respiration converts into ATP, Bam GRN GROADIES in the plant if her roots arnt soaking at approx 5.6 - 6.2 ph. She'll suck up to much or starve of nutes if you get to far out of range, if this is wrong soil medium turns into a grd and electrolytes get out of wack,,, make a battery and oxidation occurs in the root and plant tissue. Hydrofarm has fancy unit around a $100 that grounds plant mediums thru wall socket grounds, IDK,,, I have arduino Uno around 12.95 can ground your plants and I'll throw in the code and tutorial give plants a super zap charge.
Yes and no, just a hobby, not really based on profit, left over hobby parts but I do buy some bulk now and then,.are you a product seller?
You are correct about gold but your wasting you're $$$ Sir. IMO. Gold is for space shuttle components And VR racing drones.. :Dthinking of trying the Gravity: Analog Soil Moisture Sensor For Arduino for the EC probe - the
Immersion Gold process is one of the better ways to prevent the probes from corroding outside using 100% gold .
some would agree with you, I worked for PSCO of colo , utility transmission lines , I ve been suspended in some precarious diagnostics and Ill I could remember at these moment was HOGS, If I need a meter its going to be a bad day!no that was a dickhead - I have an degree in electronics and teach
I got a used unit that just came in. I'll test it and post the blue lab unit PH and hand held monitor around $70 range, on Tue...I have heard good things about Bluelab but its a little pricey.

Question for everyone ?I want to have something that will email me with the information of how the water is doing
